The caravan park is in a decent location for visiting Clacton and surrounding places. We came here for a weekend last year and had a great time, so decided to come back this year and stay a couple of extra nights. If you’re thinking of adding a Monday on to a weekend break don’t bother, everything is closed.

The whole experience was completely different to last year and not in a good way.
The caravan was absolutely filthy, the floor wasn’t swept or mopped, there were chips under the table and sweet wrappers under the beds. The seats in the living room were filthy on top and disgusting underneath. The high chair we hired for the baby was covered in old food. It was gross. The caravan was also very run down - dining room chairs were broken and there was rust all over the hand rails in the bathroom.
The site itself wasn’t clean - there was bird poo all over.

The facilities weren’t great - it was impossible to get booked into the pool at a time that would work for us with our toddler, the outside pool was either closed or absolutely packed. We tried to book a table in person at the pub and were told there were no tables until 7:30 but we then booked one on the app at 5 and the whole place was empty.

I really wouldn’t recommend this place any more unfortunately and wouldn’t go back.

We had an amazing time on our first visit to a caravan park, and this place exceeded all our expectations! The site itself was lovely, and every single member of staff we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the receptionist to the security team, the swimming pool staff, and those working in the live lounge—everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home.
It truly made our weekend unforgettable.
If we could give 10 stars, we absolutely would!

Following our stay from last year, we thought we would return to haven, orchards in Clacton on sea as we enjoyed it the previous year. However, we couldn’t be more wrong. The holiday from Hell is the nicest way I could possibly put this. |So we shall start from the beginning, apon arrival to the caravan site we was handed out keys and a map, we was put in kingfisher quay which you had to go through the park, back out the park and it was about a 10 minute walk to the main reception having to go through what only I could describe as Jaywick which that in itself made us feel upset because we felt like we was not on site. We decided to ask reception if they could kindly move us or upgrade and we would pay the difference. I was met with a kind lady, however, she said there was none available and I have to stick it basically. I explained how I was heavily pregnant and can’t walk far and they said that I should of used the ‘choose my holiday home’ feature which was more cost - I would of done this if I knew though! We felt fobbed off but decided to just start our holiday. Apon arriving back at the caravan, we were met with dirt, mess and ants everywhere throughout the caravan. Bear in mind this was a silver caravan, it was not even a bronze standard I wouldn’t have put my dog in there! I will attach pictures of everything within this. Apon seeing this, my partner went back to the reception to complain and they fobbed him off so I rang down, and they said they was going to send a manager down and a cleaner. This was after I got extremely upset and was made to feel like it was my fault and that I was making a fuss over nothing. The manager came and told us they had no cleaners so they have had to do it themselves hence the low standard. He was nice enough, but they definitely did not go above and beyond to make me feel welcomed or helped at all. I felt like going home at this point. When he left, the cleaners then arrived, they cleaned what they could but it was still appalling. We was still so upset and was considering going home as we was not met with any compassion or help to make us feel welcomed when I was crying my eyes out from the stress, bare in mind we had a small child too. Eventually we just decided to stay because we had no other choice. |The swimming pool was very dirty and not very safe for a toddler. We also tried the restaurant was also disgusting too. |It is such a shame because the previous year we had a great time and this was our last family holiday before our family expands and it was for a birthday celebration. |But over all, we will definitely not be returning and I am very very upset we was fobbed off and they did not even try to go above and beyond for us.

We were in a new caravan so apart from the smell of carpet glue for the first few days no complaints. Be aware though that the new management are cutting everything to the bone eg no toilet brushes in the toilets. (Yes I did ask and was told “we don’t supply them any more”) Not that the smell should have bothered us anyway as the smell of weed would have masked the carpet odour. So much dope smoking that if you don’t like the smell don’t come here. God knows what those caravans must be like as at least 3 of our neighbours were smoking indoors due to the rain. The site is much as you’d expect and is generally well kept and the location is fine for access to other places worth visiting

We stayed here from Monday to Friday..
We booked a silver caravan and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was with an ensuite toilet and a dishwasher. And even more lovely was a proper double bed. The only little issue we had, we couldn't get the oven to work, we did call someone who sent security up but he didn't know how to sort it either. A helpful hint would be to leave instructions in the van! We ended up using the hob and microwave. The patio area was lovely but could do with a good dust around the railings as full of cobwebs. We stayed in the Tawny area, it was lovely and peaceful and well set out.
My husband was very happy as there is a fishing pond on site.
We only went to the complex for bingo, but was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and polite.
Overall we would visit again

I was blown away with everything here. The caravan is great, ours was on the water and even had an ensuite which I wasn't expecting. The staff are all really nice and willing to help. The entertainment is largely child/family focused though there are other acts later in the night which older kids or adults may be more interested in. Singers, bingo etc. the arcade is small and a little pricey on some games but it's ok to keep busy throughout the day. There's a nice walk along the sea which loops back around to the caravan park which offers some amazing views on a nice day. Overall it's a great place for a holiday, and in an amazing location

The caravan was clean and the bed was very comfy no issues with the saver caravan me and my 4 children stayed in. All the staff was very friendly. I would say after reading reviews I was abit worried about visiting but I was pleasantly surprised and the kids loved it, if you don't drive then the pier is just a 30 min bus ride, plenty to do on site and prices are pretty good at the shop on site and also good family deals with the burger king and papa johns on site. The entertainment at the clubhouse could have been better as my children would rather go to play in the park outside the clubhouse instead. Will definitely go back as so much to do at the pier including lots of rides for all ages from my youngest being 3 and oldest being 15, the upside down house is great, nice sandy beach and huge arcades and lots of other shops near by, we couldn't get around it all in one day. Will be going back with the kids for sure.

This site is really great and well looked after. I stayed in by far the best caravan I've ever been in and it was not too expensive.

The location of this venue is great, plenty of nice walks.

I do think the food venues need to be looked at, there was limited choice and the food quality was not the best. This didn't impact my overall experience of this place.

I would definitely stay here again, the great quality caravans makes it worthwhile.
