Had a wonderful Sunday Lunch. They regularly sell Roast Lamb which is a rarity in most places. Prices are reasonable as well.

Incredibly accommodating and pleasant staff, the landlord is an absolute gem of a fella. Food was quickly served, great quantity and great (not too large) portion sizes. Nice selection of ales, ciders and lagers on tap.

That said, the operating brewery needs to invest more into places like this, 17 pulls to get a pint of tribute out is just embarrassing and highlights that poor investment.

Nonetheless, a pub with a small but good quality menu that caters to families but still manages to hold onto that public house feel is a rarity these days, and I'm grateful to have found this one.

I can’t say what a fantastic place this is. Only the second time I’ve been in there although they stop serving food they went above and beyond trying to help us where to get something to eat. We ended up staying in the pub and the male choir came in and started singing the atmosphere was just so good. It got a little crowded Coming back in after going outside for a fag in the massive beer garden out the back and people at the next table, all moved round and passed chair over their heads, so my friend can sit down with me. Go visit. Oh and all bar staff friendly and courteous

The staff are amazing, we found it impossible to get a reservation anywhere in Cornwall, so glad we found this gem. Currently seating is outside in the garden so you will have to brave the elements, but the team and the food definitely make up for it. The moules mariniere were so good and a really good size, the T bone steak was more than enough. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I dont normally go for plated roasts as I dont like hard veg but this place comes highly recommended so thought I'd give it a go. Not disappointed at all. I had the beef and it was amazing 3 massive slices and Lovely soft carrots, broccoli and red cabbage and roasts with a huge Yorkshire pudding 🥕 😋 Such value for the price as well!

Such a great village pub - good food and drinks, but mostly it’s the people. We organised a group function one afternoon in November and it was perfect - enormous amounts of tasty food, great atmosphere, lovely staff. Thanks especially to Caz.
