Mel gave us a friendly welcome on our arrival and we were really impressed by the high quality of our rooms (we were 3 cyclists and booked both rooms). Beds very comfy indeed, furnishings good quality, nice new bathrooms and loved the complimentary shower gel etc after our day's exertions. Everything spotlessly clean and it was lovely having the living room downstairs to ourselves. Breakfast very good. Thankfully we did not need it, but Mel is happy to provide drying/washing facilities for wet cyclists. Actually for anyone doing Coasts and Castles route, as we were doing, she is more conveniently situated than nearby Coldstream. There is a good pub/restaurant just a couple of doors down. Would definitely book Haymount again.

Spotless and very comfortable B&B where the attention to detail makes it the perfect choice for a stay in the Borders. Mel is a friendly host who coped with last minute additions to our party like a true professional. Impressive choice on the buffet for breakfast and cooked options were delicious. Great facilities in the rooms - we had booked both - and the sitting room for guests is a real bonus. We will definitely return!

Wonderful accommodation, Mel so helpful, brilliant breakfast. So many opportunities to visit nearby interesting tourist attractions, from Bamburgh Castle on the east coast to lovely towns such as Melrose and Peebles to the west. Worth staying at Haymount for more than the one night that we had booked. We would love to return.

Stayed with Melanie for two nights in the 'tweed' room. Room is lovely and has been extremely well designed with good quality furnishings and furniture. Melanie is a very good cook and our breakfast was of a high standard. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We arranged to stay two nights over the bank holiday weekend while visiting our Scottish family. The rooms were spotless, beds very comfy and the breakfast was stunning and having our own sitting room made Haymount feel like a home from Home. ||However it was the extra mile that Mel went to that made our stay so special, she put up a stair gate so our son (4) couldn't fall down the stair, took the kettle out of the children's room and during breakfast, didn't heat our sons plate so he didn't have to wait 10mins to eat like everywhere else. ||There are other subtle touches to Haymount that are beautiful too, such as the hearts interpreted into the door handles and the spade door knocker. ||All in all Haymount B&B made a usually rushed and tiring trip so much easier. We will definitely be back soon.

The B&B has been recently renovated, it is clean and quiet, in a good position to visit Border region, excellent breakfast and above all Mrs. Melanie's extreme kindness and friendliness. We stayed here whilst fishing locally on the Tweed. It was absolutely superb: immaculately clean, thoughtful touches and excellent breakfast. Close to a cosy pub too and lots to see and do locally. As well as lovely bedrooms there is a dedicated lounge for the guests. The owner couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely recommend.
