We really enjoyed our stay at Hayswood. The cabins were well equipped, spacious with comfortable beds and seating. The grounds are extensive with marked trails and a large grassed play area.||I only wish we could have stayed longer.

We really enjoyed our week here. The cabin felt homely and well appointed. Having your own covered patio and bench is a lovely touch. Our little one had loads of space to run around. ||Be aware that it is in close proximity to RAF Marham and the speedway track (you can hear the cars racing from the cabins). The planes overhead are incredibly, incredibly loud. I know this isn’t the fault of Hay’s Wood Retreat, but it’s worth knowing about if you’re looking for complete silence. ||Despite that, we had a wonderful stay.

The location was good, and not too crowded. However when we stayed it wasnt really the finished article. There were some parts boarded off with quite allot of building works going on which killed the view totally. There wasn't enough of the cleaning products or bin bags. No hand-wash is provided either. We had to make a separate trip to buy those items.

The site is naturally beautiful! The woodland walks are serene. I kept wondering what it would be like to stay there in the winter time when in snowed . Hopefully,I will be able to do it one day?.||The staff were attentive, friendly, supportive of all our needs . I have only praise for them!!! ?.||The rooms were spotless, the bed and pillows were comfortable.||I had a really comfortable weekend. I look forward to my next visit!!

What a great find, beautiful log cabins in a secluded position with mod cons. The cabin was clean, also nice and toasty despite the cooler weather, plus lots of space to spread out. Easy access to Kings Lynn and a great base for exploring the area. Once the weather warms this location will be even better, with large patios in front of each of the cabins.

We stayed with some friends in a 4 bedroom cabin for 2 nights. the accommodation was well maintained and looked new, beds were comfy and clean and a decent size. The cabin as a whole however was a little odd in its layout (this may be the one we had and perhaps other cabins were better) and not suitable for 8 people staying (its max capacity - 4 x bedrooms x 2 beds per room), there is only 1 shower in an en suite (which is nice and big). The main bathroom only had a bath and no shower and there was only cramped seating around a large table in the kitchen to sit, meaning everyone would have to squeeze past you every time that wanted to do anything in the kitchen. The only other thing I would say is Hays retreat are clearly a new facility as they are building a lot of new cabins which was a little unsightly, but i'm sure would look nice once all the construction was complete. Lastly, again might be the cabin I was in, it only had parking for 1 car, which isn't great for a cabin that sleeps up to 8 people, meaning you had to park one car in the main carpark that would mean getting wet and muddy walking back and forth from your cabin.
