Staff friendly and helpful, food and location good. However the room we stayed in was certainly not worth the money, tired, cramped, limited space for clothes, electric shower with very little pressure, shower room / toilet ceiling needed some decorative attention. Overall disappointed!

Had my mum's 80th birthday here and it was great. The place is lovely, organising the do was really very straightforward, the buffet was absolutely delicious, and all the staff worked so hard on the day. Massive thanks to Jess and the team for making it a real success!

The loctation is good not far from bath if your going out in the evening.

Rooms are tiny and basic ours had a fusty smell which wasn't very nice which was even worse in the bathroom shower which you couldn't swing a cat in so kept bumping my elbows and until the pub closed very noisy.
Breakfast basic but OK
Not worth the money to be honest

Festive afternoon tea was amazing.
It was all so tasty and beautifully presented. We had a small cracker too. Will definitely be booking this for each Christmas from now on.

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon in one of the private rooms on the ground floor and enjoyed a first class Sunday roast. I liked the idea of securing the sole use of the room (no charge), which was ideal for our party of 14. The service was very good, as was the standard of fare offered up, portion size was also very respectable. I opted for the meat trio and enjoyed every morsal, washed down with a cracking bottle of merlot.
I would be more than happy to recommend this establishment and hope to return in due course. The only thing I noticed that was of any concern was the fact that there were no curtains to the windows in the room. But on a bright, sunny afternoon wasn't much of an issue.

Really nice bar and restaurant, staff are friendly and welcoming.
I went for the roast beef, oh my goodness, incredible tender and seasoned well, plus I had a good portion as well.
Yorkshire pudding was booked perfectly and wasn't overdone. Gravy was nice but I felt there could have been a bit more.
The veg was maple roasted carrots, swede l, kale , cabbage and parsnips. All very tasty.
My special mention of the week goes to the Roast potatoes, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. It was seasoned really well.
The side of crackling was very tasty as well.
Strongly recommend this place, is reasonably priced as well.

22 of us were booked for a 70th Birthday meal at a restaurant in Bath which was cancelled at lunchtime on the day! On the off chance I called Haywards & spoke with a lovely lady called Hayley who not only got us in but we had a private bar. The chef was amazing all the food was superb and the evening was a great success. Everyone said they would go there again, it really was delicious. Thanks Hayley and all the helpful staff for saving our day and going the extra mile it was greatly appreciated. Bev Jarvis
