We had a brilliant stay at Hazel Barn; the family room is very clean and comfortable with views of chicken coops and wild rabbits out the window. The breakfasts were terrific and Ginnie and Martin couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. Even going so far as to allow our 2-year-old to feed the hens and collect the eggs. Highly recommend.

Lovely welcome from Ginny after our evening arrival visiting family in East Anglia. Comfortable warm well furnished room spottlessly clean as was shower room. Form to choose from comprehensive breakfast menu at a time to suit us. Off the beaten track and very peaceful. Enjoyed superb freshly cooked breakfast in sunroom overlooking garden and county view. With the only Diss hotel taken over by asylum seekers this has to be the best B & B we have ever found in 60 years of travelling.

This is a classic example of everything a British B&B should be. The hosts were friendly and obliging the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
I was using the place as the start and finish for the multi-day Rebellion Way circumnavigation of Norfolk cycle route.
The hosts kindly allowed me to leave my car between my first night and final night stays. They also let me use their garden hose to spray down my bike at the end of my ride (it had been very wet and muddy) and then their compressor when I noticed a puncture on my car as I was about to depart - just enough air to reach a local garage. I drove a short way both evenings to excellent places to eat, recommended by my hosts. I hope to return sometime…

Hazel barn is a beautiful place to stay. Hosts are very welcoming .our double room was immaculately clean as was en suite. Breakfast was freshly cooked using locally sourced ingredients served in a lovely conservatory with breathtaking views of countryside. Really peaceful location. 1st class all round. Thank you.

Stayed just the one night and very happy. Clean, comfortable and an excellent breakfast in the morning. A little out of the way, so car is a must. We stayed in the Willow room which had a lovely view out onto the garden. Only had minor niggles, bed was a double, not a king which I am used to (but double was in booking info). Doors are creaky and door catch noisy, so a quiet toilet visit in the night is difficult.|Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Spacious room with comfy bed and small en-suite bathroom. Our room overlooked the beautiful gardens. There was a form to fill in the night before to choose breakfast. This was served in their conservatory and was very good. They were friendly hosts and also had lovely dogs. The garden was large and stunning and it was nice to walk around.

The property is in a lovely rural location with plenty of parking. We were warmly greeted at the door by our hosts and shown to our rooms. We were staying for a family wedding and booked two rooms. Both rooms were very clean and the tea tray was fantastic with a great selection of biscuits. The views from the rooms were fantastic and the space in the rooms was plenty. Wifi was good and the TV reception was great. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Our hosts were very accommodating and very approachable. Breakfast is a must....very fresh and very tasty with some homemade jams and plenty of choice from cereals to fresh fruit, full English breakfast and toast or croissants. Very enjoyable stay and will look forward to returning when in the area again. Thank you.

Beautiful property, very clean with great facilities. Host was very welcoming and took the time to show us around. There’s a small but perfectly formed guest kitchenette with fridge and proper milk(!) for your hot drinks.

Wonderfully dark and quiet at night.

Travelled up for an event at Snetterton, not too far away.

Parking is also great, would have no concern with leaving a ‘nice’ car here, which is something that is always a consideration when booking!

Be advised if your car is particularly low, there are multiple routes to nearby towns/villages by lanes, which are generally well kept, but might be tricky if you chose one of the more ‘rural’ routes, but the host kindly pointed us to more main roads as alternate routing.

Considering you could pay more for a generic motel, great value and would happily book again if visiting. Recommended.
