I have stayed here a few times over the last 3 years. Rooms are comfortable, reasonably spacious for the price and exceptionally clean, with excellent shower rooms. Well located in central Purley, with off-road parking, near to train station (two stops to Gatwick) and buses. This is far superior to the average B&B, there are no bar facilities etc but I much prefer staying here compared with other local hotels. Alma the manageress is friendly, welcoming and helpful. As it only has 7 rooms, it is regularly booked out, which is why I am a little reticent on giving a glowing review! There is absolutely nothing to fault for the price.

Very kind and welcoming hostess, spotless large room with 4 extremely comfortable single beds and a separate large shower room made for a most pleasant short stay for 2 adults and 2 children at an extremely competitive rate for the area. Continental style breakfast with fresh fruit and cereal available Tesco express across the road and the main town a 5 minute walk down the road handy for restaurants too. Highly recommended

Stayed here just one night. Friendly welcome from Jan who also informed me they run the language school next door. Room was warm, comfortable with lovely bathroom all spotlessly clean. Didn't get chance to enjoy breakfast since I had to check out very early. But I would not hesitate to recommend or stay again myself if I was in the area.

We stayed here as a family of 3 in January 2020 for a party. Communication with Jan by text beforehand was good as she was unable to meet us upon arriving, but this was fine and she explained the check in service throughly. I cannot fault the rooms for cleanliness, the bedding was freshly laundered and the shower powerful. We slept well and in the morning were greeted by Enrico at breakfast, which was a good continental spread. He additionally offered us coffee from the machine, which was much needed after a party the night before! We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Congratulations on totally renovating and refurbishing to enable you to provide high quality accommodation with a range of booking and room type to suit the needs of individuals, couples, families and groups wishing to stay just 25 minutes from the centre of London, whether on holiday, a short stay or a business trip. I was also lucky enough to take advantage of Alma's culinary skills (alma is a professional housekeeper and chef, baker - delicious cakes and pastries), who will welcome you and make sure you have a great experience. At the end of a busy few days being able to go back to Hazel residence and unwind was great. Thanks everyone Andy

Lovely guest house! Cozy, clean and warm, and great value. Stayed one night for work, and would definitely stay again. Room facilities simple but thoughtful, and everything works. Much better - and cheaper - than many equivalent rating chain hotels.

Fantastic place. Very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast. House manager is fabulous and waited for us to arrive late as the M25 was a nightmare. Would highly recommend staying here but make sure you reserve a parking space if driving.

We stayed at Hazel Residences for 10 days, and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Room and en-suite was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Jan made us so welcome and went out of his way to help us in any way he could. Enrico also was extremely obliging and kind. I highly recommend this establishment. Thank you Jan!
