Lovely and pleasant, my only problem was my car Satnav wouldn't accept the address but Google Maps knew exactly where to go.

We only stayed one night here and we wished it had been longer. Sue was an amazing host, so hospitable and friendly and was so welcoming and made us feel very relaxed. She made us tea and scones on arrival and offered booked us a table at the pub across the road for dinner. We resisted the scones as it was so close to dinner so she very kindly left them in our room. The pub carvery was very good and we came back to enjoy scones, jam and cream and delicious homemade apple cake for desert. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated overlooking a beautiful garden and lovely and warm on such a rainy day. There were a lot of small touches which added to the pleasure of staying there. Breakfast was also excellent, lots of choice, cooked to order and followed by fresh fruit and creamy yogurt. Unfortunately we had an early start but managed to have a quick look around the beautiful garden which is full of character. Sue was an exceptional host and made our stay a real pleasure. She was really interesting and easy to chat to and we look forward to a return visit.

Made to feel very welcome. On arrival, Sue had a log fire lit for us, and served us with tea and homemade cakes! Lovely comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Enjoyable breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend.

Me and my 3 sisters stayed here from the moment we arrived Sue was amazing host, we had been travelling 6 hrs she made us tea homemade cake and shortbread The rooms were lovely and clean and just perfect, Breakfast was absolutely lovely she makes her own granola which was yummy 👍nothing was too much trouble for her. She’s said she’s never off duty even after being out all day she greeted us with tea and cake when we arrived back . SUE was the Perfect host we would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family |The Pub across the road does a takeaway’s Sue has menu’s just in case your peckish Sue even phoned our order through and collected it |Just a fabulous host and fantastic weekend

My wife and I stayed here in May 2015 and had an absolutely lovely stay. Sue was so gracious, accommodating and took care of our every need (even being sensitive to food allergies). Having breakfast in the conservatory with the doors open to the lovely garden was heavenly!

Absolutely wonderful weekend at Heathcote House with my sisters. Sue the hostess couldn't have done more for us. What a lovely house and garden which are impeccably well kept and managed. I recommend a stay here to anybody, you really won't be disappointed. We look forward to a return stay.

Is this place too good to be true? I don’t think so! You might think reading all of the ‘Excellent’ reviews for Heathcote House that no B&B could possibly be that good but it is!. I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Heathcote House and there is no doubt that it fully deserves the great reviews it receives. Lovely rooms, a beautiful garden with a relaxing patio area, fantastic breakfast made using locally sourced products all go towards making your stay a good one but is is your host Sue who makes a good stay a great one! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and she could not do enough for us during our stay. We were treated as friends not just as guests and this made our time at Heathcote special. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Dorchester area then make sure you choose this place - you will not be disappointed.
