We were guests at a wedding and, overall, it was very nice. Just a few niggling things that could be done better but we enjoyed it and the food was lovely. Balance of meat to veg was strange and different plates could have nothing of one item and a majority of something else but it was cooked well.

Met some friends for lunch. Perfect location as so close to M18 and M1.
We were looked after by Shannon, who couldn’t have been more helpful. She even found us a table in a quiet area, so that it was more pleasant for our hearing impaired guest.
Two of us had the chicken burger ?. It exceeded expectations as it contained a perfectly cooked butterflied chicken breast, rather than a breaded burger. Good presentation and tasty sides. Would highly recommend.
Another guest was accommodated with some delicious soup (not normally on the lunch menu) and the scotch egg, which he said were excellent.
The fish and chips were good but always difficult to compete against restaurants that are serving these constantly.
The meals arrived together and were served on hot plates (our big must have!).
Overall, we had a lovely meal. We didn’t feel rushed or pestered but received sufficient offers of extra drinks, condiments, etc, during our visit.
Will definitely be returning.

We celebrated my aunts 50th with an overnight spa getaway. The price was great for what was included. The treatments were excellent and all staff were lovely and helpful. Food was very nice and presentation was lovely. Rooms were clean and comfy. Overall a lovely break

We was celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary with the Gin-cation Sunday night offer. The hotel is so peaceful and relaxing with beautiful and grand decor we loved it! All the staff were really welcoming from the one’s on reception, to the lovely gent behind the bar, the fantastic waitress’s in the restaurant, even their cleaning staff the following morning were friendly saying morning and greeting us with a wonderful smile! The food in the restaurant was exceptional, really different and unique menu, was great to try something new! The breakfast the next day was delicious too! We loved this hotel so much we have changed the venue for our company Christmas party to Hellaby Hall!!! Can’t wait!

Everything was excellent and every one of the staff prepared to “go the extra mile” for my comfort and are a real joy to meet. I love their breakfast choices, including gluten-free options. Dinner was delicious too. I stay here 3 times per year and am always looked after really well.

We stayed at Hellaby in March earlier this year. The drive up to it is stunning seeing the old house at the front. There is plenty of parking which was handy as we came with 2 cars. The staff are lovely and looked after us from the first time we stepped through the door. The spa facilities are fantastic! Our little man loved swimming in the pool and my wife loved the jacuzzi. It’s such a beautiful historic hotel and would definitely recommend anyone needing a hotel in the Sheffield/Rotherham area to stay here.

I recently had my wedding at hellaby hall and it was perfect! The staff went above and beyond and made it run so smoothly I can’t thank the wedding team enough they were fabulous from start to finish! The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone loved it. And the night turn over staff were also brilliant and so helpful in the morning! I 100% recommend choosing hellaby hall for your special day ?

At a wedding too many stairs sent up and down so many time and I found it difficult with mobility problems. Starter lovely main course over cooked too much dry meat not enough veg. Would have sent back if not at wedding. Dessert fine. Too long between courses.
