Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. The greatest bed and pillows ever. All the room appointments were clean and new. The bathroom was so sleek and hi tech. My room had a nice sky view! I really appreciated the laundry room. The surrounding area is great for shopping and transportation.

Locked Out All Night - Host
Unresponsive, No Refund
Bad experience !
Our stay was a complete disaster due to a malfunctioning smart lock. The battery died, leaving us locked out of our room late at night with no way to enter. Despite multiple attempts, the host was unreachable (phone turned off), and customer service offered no solution-just told us to wait outside until morning. A technician finally arrived the next day, but the host never apologized or took responsibility.
To make matters worse, when we requested a refund for this unacceptable experience, the host ignored our messages entirely. Zero accountability, zero customer care. Do not book here unless you're okay with being stranded without support.

I paid an extra £20 for early check-in, but the code I was given to collect my key card didn’t work, which caused a delay of about 20 minutes. There was no proper staff around to help, and the only person we came across—a lady downstairs—did eventually let us in using her personal code, but she didn’t really offer much assistance beyond that. She kept telling us to contact the person who sent the code, but that person wasn’t even answering their phone. It felt like there was a real lack of communication between staff, and we were the ones left dealing with the confusion and inconvenience. On top of that, the room reeked of cigarette smoke, which was really unpleasant. Even after spraying our own air freshener, the smell kept coming back, especially in the bathroom, where it was even stronger. As someone with asthma, this made me feel very uncomfortable and trapped. We tried to find someone to speak to about it, but no one was around. The lack of support felt unsafe and unacceptable, especially in case of an emergency. Overall, I was really disappointed with the whole experience.

AVOID Such rude customer service from the persons number listed when booked most of the time she ignores messages or is rude. No instructions sent when booked had to wait about 30 minutes outside till someone staying there came in and another hour for a response then ended up being Put in a box room without a window despite paying for a normal double room with a tv thats barley working. No other number to contact except one wouldn’t recommend at all

Clean and tidy room, small but has just enough space for small kitchen as well. Facilities in the rooms are good. Also just about 10min walk from train station. There are lot of options nearby to shop for food and groceries.
No room service here, you will have to keep your room clean by yourself. Also, no lift service available so its too difficult to carry big luggage if you get rooms on top floor.

We got a room with a broken tv, broken door and a broken curtain rail!
No one will answer us, we've been trying to call the manager too many times they won’t pick up.

Host is completely unresponsible. Rooms are good.

Other guests are smoking like chimneys and our room has REEKED for DAYS. We’ve tried emailing and calling various numbers for the host but no answer or the numbers are disconnected. We tried knocking on the doors of the suspects (follow the smell) but they refuse to open the door. You can tell they’re in since they’re very loud and having a jolly good time. Fine maybe if you’re a smoker; disgusting if you’re not.

We booked a three-night stay at Hendon Studios for my elderly aunt and her daughter, expecting a comfortable, accessible experience. Unfortunately, it was far from what was advertised.

Misleading Address and Entrance
The listing indicated an entrance at “268 West Hendon Broadway,” but just before check-in, we were directed to a dark, dirty back alley that wasn’t shown in the photos, creating an unwelcoming and unsafe first impression.

Accessibility Issues
Our room was on the third floor, with a non-working heater and cramped, narrow stairs, making it especially challenging for my aunt, who has arthritis. Staff assured us we would be moved to a lower-floor room, but despite repeated messages, our request was ignored—even though other rooms were available on Booking.com.

Service Failures and Power Outage
On the third day, our room lost power for over two hours while lower-floor rooms remained unaffected. Initially, staff claimed it was an area-wide issue, but after we pointed out that other rooms still had power, they changed their story. Only after contacting Booking.com were we finally moved to a more accessible room—on the last night of our stay.

Conclusion
Hendon Studios relies on misleading advertising, provides poor service, and disregards accessibility needs. We strongly advise against booking here.
