very welcoming, quite clean, beds very clean but a little hard ( but we are elderly). Stairs a bit much but I should have stated ground floor. Parking good. The hotel is on the A6 and therefore quite noisy even through double glazing. No food provided as kitchen not in operation at moment although there is a microwave, fridge and plates/cutlery. ||||good convenient position.

I would have given this a 5-star rating but for the following:||1. The smell of cigarette smoke in the communal areas. ||2. Dirty bedding and linen strewn all over the carpets and seating in the communal areas.||3. At night, the lights in the communal areas are not always turned on and do not come on automatically. One has to fumble around in the dark to find the light switches. This could be a serious health and safety issue. ||Notwithstanding the above, I would not hesitate to stay at Henry's again.

I stayed her from 4th to 8th September and once again was made most welcome , nice comfy room on the front, This time as I was in and out I opted for room only but was made just as welcome. Only slight hiccup was the road works opposite causing traffic chaos, but you can get that any where. Henry's is definitely the place for me Buses right outside the door, shops close by what more do you need?

The room was fine, clean and comfortable, but I was very put off by the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway and stairs - and it all looked a bit faded. Our stay was bed only so can't comment on the breakfast. It was reasonable cost wise, but all in all I don't think we will be back

Absolutely amazing hotel. Lovely place, lovely food , lovely staff , lovely people (especially the little boy called Lucas helped me out getting my way around ). Would happily stay again. Very nice and tidy rooms.

had to come for seconds! stayed here again, absolutely buzzing for my next stay. Yet again the young gentleman i think his name now is luke (his mother called him lukey) had some more cracking jokes to tell. always gets the job done! would honestly put this on my mums it’s the best hotel.

We moved 18 months ago from Stockport and having most of friends and families still living there we come up for weekends etc. We have stayed at Henrys now on 3 separate occasions and have enjoyed the friendliness and company of our hostess, Kerry. The hotel cleanliness and breakfasts go without saying, just in case Excellent !!!||||Dave N Lynn Stone

We spent 2 nights here and were very happy with the room. We had a room on the 3rd floor roadside which is quite noisy if you are not used to it. For the money paid would definately recommend and would stay here again but would ask for a room at the back of the hotel away from the busy main road.
