Great little place for breakfast. I've walked past it many times but decided to try it out yesterday. Perfect selection of breakfast options. Food is all well cooked. Wouldn't recommend for big families as there isn't tons of space to sit. Really friendly staff too. I will definitely be going back.

Food was nice and service was friendly and fast. The cafe would really benefit from an update and a good clean. Menus were dirty and disintegrating. The cutlery and crockery were not the cleanest either. We ordered a mocha and the glass was very dirty. We also found a piece of foil in the bottom of the drink.
Overall good food, and great prices. But would only return for takeaway and not dine in.

I recently visited Hideaway Cafe and overall had a positive experience. The location in the city centre was great and convenient. The food was delicious, particularly the "BEAST BIG ONE BREAKFAST" which was a hearty and satisfying full English breakfast with big portions. The prices were also affordable. However, I did notice that the cafe could use some renovation and could be a bit cleaner.

Overall, I would recommend Hideaway Cafe for its tasty food and convenient location, but keep in mind that the decor and cleanliness could use some improvement.

I visited at about 11:00 on a bank holiday Monday whilst waiting for the rest of town to open
A nice little cafe slap bang in the city center the location is great for people watching.
I had the full English breakfast minus the tomato and a cup of tea (the brew even came with a custard cream 😋)

The breakfast was well presented and very tasty the sausages were definitely the highlight. The bacon was nice however it wasn't as crispy as I had liked and I do prefer thin bacon. But that's just my personal preference.

All in all I'd definitely come back again

quite possibly the worst cafe experience ever. went in and was told there was a 30 minute wait on food, even though there was only 2 other tables. orders were taken and we didn’t receive our drinks until we asked where they were after 25 minutes. server was not enthusiastic at all looking miserable and made 2 trips to the shop in 10 minutes. food was okay nothing amazing. really poor service wouldn’t recommend to anyone to visit.

Sad really that this place has apparently gone down hill. When it first opened we visited often for a big breakfast, and or lunch. Sad also that it only has a food star rating of three stars. We stopped going as the standards, food, service and cleanliness had dropped. No star rating displayed in the window. I think this should be law. Great spot though and could be turned around easily.

Discovered this cafe yesterday and it is brilliant! Menu is varied and at prices to match the fast food giants. Fresh cooked and served by friendly and efficient staff. Premises clean and bright
