We go here with our car group every year for lunch, approx 44 of us. Location is fantastic, the staff are so helpful. It's a gorgeous building inside and the food and drinks are amazing value for money and very good indeed. We are always well looked after. High recommend.

We only stayed for one night but oh what a night! Our room was positively palatial beautifully furnished and with two lovely armchairs to sit and have a cuppa when we arrived. The bed is extraordinarily comfortable and the pillows just perfect! Plenty of lovely toiletries in the bathroom too. Dinner was better than superb and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure to meet George who took an interest in us and made sure that everything about our stay was memorable. Breakfast was really lovely too - we were super impressed to see several gluten and/or dairy free offerings. Don’t think about booking a stay here - DO IT!

The whole experience at the hotel was great. The quality of everying at the hotel was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food very good and comfort in the public area was good with log fires, etc. We took our dog and he was made very welcome! Free entry to High Force and Raby Castle.

Fantastic few days at one of my favourite hotels. The staff were very friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel most welcome. Ashley was most helpful and informative and very polite. We shall definitely return. Highly recommend

Overnight stay while exploring the area on bikes over the weekend - what a great find! Rooms comfortable food delicious bar well stocked and service super-friendly. Plenty of parking, good value, and the best breakfast I’ve had all year.|Thanks - will be back

Minimum stay of 3hrs at the car park and then try to charge £3.50 pp to access the waterfall, bit cheeky in my opinion when there is a public footpath 30m to the left of the paying entrance that leads round to much better views of the falls in my opinion.

Walk along the road just to the left of the paying entrance onto the footpath, down some steps to the river and over the bridge, then follow the river back towards the falls on the other side, leads to a much better view from the top of the falls and free.

Booked this hotel as it was near High Force, but it turned out to be the highlight of our tour. Book the dinner, fabulous choice and really good value for money. |Staff were helpful and always pleasant. Great breakfast choice, cant recommend enough.
