It's 3-4 minutes with the bus from the Airport. The room was tidy and they offered items to wash, eat and drink. Beds were comfortable. The people working here are also really nice. For a little place, it was definitely worth staying at overnight.

Booked a triple room the night before flying out of Gatwick. Room was very basic but was cozy, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Pillows very hard though. |Bathroom was very clean. |In a quiet location which was lovely. |Check in was quick and easy. |The whole guest house did have a very strong smell of cooking which we did smell in our room. |Had a comfortable night sleep and for the price would stay here again before or after a flight out.

Due to a cancelled flight we had to spend 2 nights close to Gatwick airport. As so many flights had already been cancelled that day, by the time we were told about ours there were no rooms available at any of the airport hotels.

We did not want to go far afield as we needed to get to the airport early. We were also concerned (due to the number of people looking for accommodation) that we would have diffiuculty finding somewhere close enough, and our phone batteries were close to dead.

So, when we found High Tree Guest House online and its reviews seemed to be OK we stumped up the pretty high price and hoped for the best.

HighTree Guest house is in a quiet, pleasant part of Horley. We took a taxi from the airport as Google said it was a 40 minute walk and we had no knowledge of local bus services. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant, friendly and helpful member of staff. If I had to guess I would say it is a family run establishment, The aromas which came from the kitchen were delicious, if you enjoy Indian cuisine. High Trees does not offer dinner or breakfast. There is a kettle and a couple of complimentary biscuits in the room. There is also a microwave and fridge.

Our room was very clean and warm as was the shower room/toilet. Aside from the twin beds (we were unable to have a double room as everywhere was already booked up) there was a small wardrobe, a small sideboard with 2 small drawers and a bedside table with drawers. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows.

There was a TV, free wifi and a USB charging point, unfortunately this did not work. The website says there is daily cleaning, we were there for 2 nights and the room was not serviced before we checked out. There was no shower gel or shampoo but there was a soap dispenser next to the sink.

In conclusion I would say that emphasise is placed on customer service, which was good and available 24/7 but overall the price was very high for the level of accommodation provided.

Stayed here overnight due to an early morning (5am) flight from Gatwick and was a better option than driving down at 2am.||Seems this was once a nice home which has been converted into an HMO and now a bedsit hotel. There was Wifi - which was good and conveniently the previous guest had left the TV signed into their Amazon Prime acc so we managed to watch a film (Beetlejuice - thanks Jack!).||The reception seemed a very strange experience, 2 very young lads who seemed quite shifty if nothing else. I was there with my wife and on checking in the guy asked 4 times when checking in if we were sure we wanted a double room, - i have no idea what he was trying to imply. The room had a microwave and fridge, having seen supermarket round the corner (petrol station) i asked if they could supply me a fork as there was nothing in the room, after some discussion behind closed doors they came back and said they could let us have one "later".... i dont know if they only had one on site, but i the end i bought some plastic ones in Waitrose instead.||They bed was quite comfortable but at 9:30pm the heating came on full blast right behind the bedhead! The room was quite stuffy anyway but on opening the window it meant all night all we had was people smoking next to the room, people listening to radios and lots of talking (in non English language) in the early hours.

arrived to be greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist Charged extra for parking even though I called to check when I booked parking included.. Shown room, food under bed not clean, light bulbs not working, cob webs on ceiling. Bed squeaked broken underneath. Can hear everything from room next door..

I was in a vacation for 7 days . i stayed there 3 days . The Guest House was relaxing. The Room Was super sexy 🌚 The cleaning was damn , Just awesome. Very nice behaviour and helpful Host , always smiling .. I will Recommend Everyone To stay there. 5 minutes drive to Gatwick Airport .. And you have a sitting area where you can realx and smoke best place ever , i forgot to take the photo 🥹

I don't know about the other rooms, but the windows have openings so I can hear all the cars in the street, very noisy ,in addition to the cold , I can't say I smell nice fresh sheets , but in total maybe this is the price for that level of service

I was happily surprised. The room was better than I expected and the bathroom was clean and modern. I only spent a night but slept well. It was ideal for an early flight.
