As I walked into the High Woods country park I saw a big climbing frame I think teen-agers and adults can enjoy that as well, it has a lovely lake and a nice long walk to the dipping pond and the orchard it's very relaxing and there's some benches to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.
There's a nice big play ground area, no dogs in the playground area.

Absolutely stunning nature forest park! Autumn is just beautiful here. Our first visit, definitely not the last. The lady in the visitor centre was so lovely, friendly. Great place for kids. Can't wait for the new playground to open soon.

Stopped here to let my dogs out on the way to a weekend break. We parked at the chanterelle car park as it was away from any animals and I assumed less busy. Only 2 other cars there on a Friday afternoon but I did see a deer before I let the dogs out so I kept my spaniel on the lead as she would have been off chasing the poor thing. Beautiful space here, loads of room. Other users were friendly and polite, a few cyclists here but no problems. Will probably stop again on the way back. A really good place.

High Woods Country Park is a great spot for nature lovers. The field is full of colourful wildflowers, making it perfect for a relaxing walk. The paths are easy to follow and take you through some lovely green areas.

There are plenty of benches around, especially near the lake, where you can sit down and relax. You’ll also find benches scattered in other parts of the park, making it easy to take a break and enjoy the scenery.

There aren’t any toilets, but that’s alright since it’s a free park. It’s also a fantastic place for dog walkers with plenty of space for your furry friends to run around. Just make sure to clean up after your dogs – I’ve come across a few spots where people haven’t, and it’s not pleasant.

Nice walks. Different routes to choose. Can easily spend a couple of hours walking. River and lake, benches to sit down. Make sure you have the right shoes as even if it wasn't raining, it was pretty muddy at places. Parking was £1 for 2h and right by it coffee shop with some snacks and toilets.

Highwoods country Park is a vast area covered with woods including large variety of trees & plants, and birds & animals like squirrels, deers, cows. There is a paid parking facility and toilets near to the visitor centre near to the entrance. Lots of people interested in angling spend time catching fishes from the pond. Nice & calm place, suitable for long walks with pets. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
