Liked: This was a perfect semi-wild campsite, very basic toilet and shower facility. I loved the fact we had the place virtually to ourselves, only 1other couple who camped on the other side of the field to us. Perfect location for exploring the Tamar valley, plymouth, and the Rame peninsula and east cornwall.
The owners are lovely and very welcoming, my children loved their sheepdog! Would recommend to anyone looking for a low key campsite.

Disliked: Nothing however it is basic in amenities, a rustic shower (hot water is available!) So it wont suit everyone.

Liked: It’s such a peaceful, lovely campsite. The showers were warm and clean and the toilets were clean with toilet roll and soap provided. The owner was lovely and gave us some recommendations for what to do in the local area. We all loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

Liked: Friendly greeting. Very quiet and peaceful.

Disliked: Quite limited facilities and in the middle of nowhere. It's probably best for people with tents and cars so you can drive to visit the local area. Some light pollution at night.

We visited Higher Chapel Farm as a weekend getaway. My other half is currently based in Plymouth and I’m four hours away! Finding something reasonably priced at the moment is quite hard but this did not disappoint! Easy to find and welcomed straight away. Plenty of parking and plenty of space to relax. Nothing was too much trouble and whilst separated by a “private” signed door from the main home, Jean was very happy to for guests to knock and would accommodate at any time of day. Breakfast was good and a good selection. We were cheeky and asked for a later breakfast one day and again, not too much trouble. It was very easy to feel completely relaxed here and Jean was very flexible with our requests. Bed was super comfy and slept really well too! Landscape - amazing and two lovely dogs who were a lovely welcome. Jean also has a lot of local knowledge and recommended a number of places (and pubs!) to visit. They didn’t disappoint, even though it rained. I would highly recommend this b&b for an honest, tranquil and traditional b&b experience. We will certainly use again whilst our circumstances mean a fair bit of distance between us!

We loved our stay here for the week. Beautiful and peaceful place, able to travel easily to loads of different attractions and activities. Great host, who always goes above and beyond in making you welcome. Fabulous breakfasts and comfortable rooms.

I was looking for a place to max out on sleep, rest, peace and quiet after a busy few days and this was perfect. The location felt quite remote, accessible via narrow country lanes full of pheasants, and with beautiful green countryside all around. I booked through AirBnB but didn't notice from my booking that this was the same place as Higher Chapel Farm Bed and Breakfast. Jean was very welcoming, with a cake awaiting me in my room, and some helpful insights on the local National Trust places I was considering visiting. Good food was available in the evening from the Who'd Have Thought It Inn, just a mile or so up the road. I had a great night's sleep in a really comfortable bed followed by a delicious full breakfast in the morning. I'lll definitely be back!

Amazing place! We have spent the last week in this amazing pod. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Underfloor heating & a super comfy bed. We were greated with fresh milk & a cream tea in the fridge on arrival. The host Jean is lovely as us Kim the dog who visited us frequently.
We would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for 4 nights at Higher Chapel Farm and absolutely loved it. |Jean was so welcoming , friendly and gave us the best tips on were to travel around Cornwall. |Room was clean and cosy. |Breakfast was amazing , cooked each morning and laid out beautifully in the dining room. |Would highly recommend! |Can’t wait to return.
