OK, so it's cheap and conveniently situated for Bristol airport with a car park and transfers. That's the plus side. Minuses: we arrived on a sunny day and it looked horrific as we drove up, seriously in need of external decoration and cleaning. If the weather had been raining, it would have been even worse. Small room, sticky surfaces and a smell of smoke. As others have commentated the sink was badly cracked, the bathroom floor felt tacky and the carpet had seen better days. ||Pulling back the duvet a stain, see photo, was visible even through the mattress protector. The sheet was very wrinkled, certainly not smoothed out. It was pilled very, very badly indeed and by the following morning I felt as though I had had some awful exfoliation procedure. Sleep was almost impossible as the building was directly under the landing approach. Final plane of the day landed at 2.50am, a car revved its engine right outside our window at 3.30am. We had to get up at 4pm for our flight.||Make your own decisions on whether this is for you or not.

I had booked this as a last resort during the busy holiday period when all other options were booked. I read the terrible reviews and had suitably low expectations. However, for an airport hotel option, I was pleasantly surprised. The check-in process was warm and efficient. The accommodation was spacious, very clean and well equipped. The procedure for airport transfer was equally efficient. And the price - phenomenal value for an overnight stay plus 2 weeks of airport parking in peak season. My kids actually said “I wish we could stay here longer” despite it just being a convenient overnight place to crash before an early flight. Naturally there was a fair amount of noise from passing aeroplanes but it stopped during the middle of the night. ||I won’t hesitate to rebook next time we’re flying from Bristol.

OK well the price reflects what you get....a over sized porter cabin that has been split into 3 rooms with ensuit. Positioned under the flight path, evey hour but that's nothing the noise from the ajacent rooms is disrupting , you can hear their conversations , scraping the cereal dishes and yes you've got it the bathroom deeds!
Room was OK, bedding nice and clean, cobwebs were a feature.
Difficulty finding the place but that seems the ongoing normal 😕

There is nothing positive to write about this place. From their porto-cabin style accomodation; the total lack of sound insulation from late night-time arrivals, to the lack of parking facilities; plus the grumpy neighbour (who clearly does NOT like living next to the B&B); and the off-road drive to reach the place and its non-existant views!||||Then to TOP it all you are directly under the flight path for the landings into Bristol airport...!! We were had-but we won't be had again.

I can't comment on the quality of the accomodation or airport transfers. However, I did have to cancel my booking, due to my pet hamster being very ill. They responded to me promptly via email and cancelled my booking, giving a full refund without any fuss. Normally these days you have to take companies to court to get your money back, even when you're in a genuinely difficult predicament, so it sits very well with me when companies are helpful and understanding, and it's about the long game - I'll remember this companies flexibility when I do get to fly from Bristol again. For their own benefit, they might do well to make their email address , website etc a little more corporate.

Having stayed at Forge before and was satisfied with service, so when i found Forge full, decided to try their overflow part Hillcrest Farm as it looked OK in advert! You have to checkin at Forge. 1st problem finding parking space until receptionist can take you to Hillcrest Not easy. Although Hillcrest is within 1 mile, that is as the crow flies! You are taken OK, but round roads and through a village to Hillcrest onto a plateau (2miles+). The advert photo shows a farrmhouse? This is not it! The small single story building between the houses is it. The entrance was obscured by a large mobile home so you had to proceed round the back of this. There were 3 apartments in this small building. It was very small with little place for clothes etc. The TV did not pickup any signals. The bathroom fan was so noisy the light could not be used. The bed was small and uncomfortable. There was very little space to 'swing a cat' Parking was shown down the alley between the houses. It was full so you had to park away from apartment on the plateau. Now I come to the worst bit! This plateau is under the flightpath of the planes so you could not sleep until flights had finished and again after they started in morning! It would have been just as good to sleep in your car somewhere else! In the morning you then had to take your car back to Forge and try to find parking spot to leave it -difficult! It was then parked by them in some sort of field as it was returned covered completely in mud! I would never use Hillcrest Farm again.
