My husband and I stayed at the Hilton, Cambridge for Valentine's Weekend. We had a lovely time. We were greeted with prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch. The room was a great size with a lovely shower and bath. Very clean. The lobby smells amazing!! The room was a little corporate and typical of a chain however, there were some touches that tied it in to Cambridge. There were other features around the hotel that had a strong Cambridge connection. The room has a hair dryer, ironing board and even a fridge. There were even robes and slippers! Only draw-back is the wardrobe was tiny! TV had a decent selection of channels compared with lots of other hotel TVs.
Very good location - right next to the Grand Arcade shopping centre. The hop-on-hop off bus has a stop right outside. It's a very short walk from some good restaurants, cafes and museums.
The breakfast was amazing! Really good quality food and a fantastic choice. Very friendly service. The breakfast is available for quite a decent window of time which is nice.
We also went to the Piano Bar both evenings we stayed. It was so lovely to have a pianist playing live- she was excellent. Decent cocktails.
We went to the Executive Lounge. The "happy hour" is 6pm-8pm (wish we were told this in advance!) where there is wine, some spirits, beer and some nice food available during this period. At other times, there is a good selection of hot drinks and soft drinks. There are board games and it is a very relaxed atmosphere.
We didn't use the gym on this occasion but it's always nice to have one - it looked like it is well equipped.
The staff were helpful and friendly. It was good to be able to drop our bags before check-in and afterwards.
Parking is very expensive. We used Park and Ride and would definitely recommend doing this.
We would definitely stay again.

We've stayed a few times for an overnight Christmas shopping trip early December and can thoroughly recommend this hotel for comfort and convenience. |Everything about it is very easy - excellent access to John Lewis and all the central stores, valet parking is well worth it (book in advance) and great restaurant/bar/coffee lounge facilities - especially the executive lounge (definitely worth the additional room cost for access to this area). The breakfast is excellent with so much choice and the staff are all very welcoming. Lots of little extras and attention to detail throughout the hotel. Particularly want to mention the member of staff who was managing the lounge on Saturday 7th December, working so hard and the buffet and drinks provided 6-8pm were exceptional. Thanks for a great visit (and we got all the shopping done too!)

My wife and I visit Cambridge frequently. This is the first time we have stayed at the city centre Hilton Downing Street and were very pleased with our stay.|A very pleasant room with a comfortable bed and all the facilities one expects in a quality hotel. Very pleasant and friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. Breakfast is to me the most important meal of the day. The breakfast in the Hilton Cambridge hotel is really excellent with many choices and really super staff. We recently stayed in a 5 star hotel nearby which was lacking in so many areas and did not compare in any positive way to the Hilton.|To sum up, a comfortable city centre hotel with nice rooms a great breakfast and brilliant friendly staff.

I had a great 3-night stay at the Hilton. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The shower had consistently warm water, which made for a relaxing experience. Breakfast was excellent every morning, offering a good variety of options to start the day.
The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Grand Arcade, a large shopping center with a wide range of stores and restaurants. It’s a great spot if you want easy access to shopping and dining options during your stay at the Hilton.

Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free stay!

Super friendly staff, clean rooms, perfect location. Asked if I could keep my takeaway in a fridge somewhere, so they brought a whole fridge to my room no questions asked! Great simple gym, nice piano bar with live music 4 nights a week.

Very good experience booking the room on the phone with Mona. She was very helpful with all my queries.
Special mention to a second Mona, who was working at front of house. She had such a great welcoming attitude. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
Hotel was perfectly located right in the centre of Cambridge. Very dog friendly - staff are fantastic with canine guests. Parking underground. Great breakfast. Spacious Double beds Double room. Not the most modern, standard Hilton interior decor but checked all the boxes for what we need. Will definitely be returning whenever we are in Cambridge again.

Met a fellow gig goer here prior to a gig at the corn exchange which is a 2 minute walk away.
Excellent, relaxing ambiance in thr piano bar.
Usual inflated hotel prices for beers though (not even draft!)

I have stayed many times here in the last 30 odd years, but not since Covid. I was delighted that the valet parking is now such an efficient process. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s Cambridge and other hotels just can’t compete on this. ||Likewise, the buffet breakfast really is I think the best in town. The University Arms is chaotic and couldn’t keep pace with demand when I was last there and the hotel du vin ran out of kitchen /waiting staff and had to refund guests on my last visit. Neither has anything like the choice. However, they do have better coffee! Fix the coffee to be hotter and better quality and you have nailed it!||Good room, easy checkin, slow checkout, will come again.||Ps. The toilet paper quality just doesn’t fit with the quality of the Hilton brand. Please fix that too.
