brilliant hotel love to come back too !! the rooms are lovely a little outdated tho, the hair dryer is definitely too slow.

food is absolutely delicious and staff are lovely. i did get ignored once or twice by one staff member, trying to order more drinks which is disappointing. but other than that it was well worth it.

We stayed on a Friday night arrived at 5pm and were checked in quickly we’d already chosen our room on the third floor overlooking the river. The view was great! The room cleanliness wasn’t great. The bathroom bin hadn’t bin emptied from the previous guests and there were a few stray hairs around the bathroom and bedroom. I last stayed here around 10 years ago and in room and the areas we visited the hotel hasn’t been updated. The pool area and changing rooms were clean. There was a lack of seating in those areas and places to keep your towels. The breakfast was great! I really enjoyed it and was nice to have the option of poached eggs.

We stayed as a family group (12 people). Booked service river view rooms, amazing view, well worth it. Rooms had everything needed, though our water wasn't replaced on our second night. Drank at the bar, good service but expensive like all hotels. Breakfast was excellent, a great choice of food for all ages and dietary types.

From the moment I stepped foot in the lobby there were everywhere smiling welcoming faces. Honestly I had an incredible time in the hotel, even though I was by myself. The Executive lounge is such a great experience! Worth it.

I would like to appreciate the Hilton manager at Gateshead named Matthew.

I had a not so good experience at the Hilton Gateshead and Matthew addressed my issue with all the positive and professional attributes one can ask for. He was polite, listened to my issue and was extremely professional.

If he can be recommended for any type of customer service award I will strongly recommend it.

He is really an asset to the Hotel.

Great hotel. Excellent reception staff, very friendly and informative. We had a double double with views and it was a great room with a superb outlook on the river and city. ||Underground car park very convenient and competitively priced. ||The breakfast was very nice and staff both friendly and professional. ||Location is good, really handy for city centre and better than many that are actually located in Newcastle itself. ||Only minor disappointment was not being offered an upgrade despite being Gold members of the loyalty scheme. ||We regularly stay in Newcastle and I think we will use this hotel in future.

I’ve stayed here many times and it has always been a pleasure. The food is great, and the views are amazing. The staff are polite and accommodating.
Once I was so sick that I couldn’t leave my hotel room for 3 days and really I was so thankful that I had such a comfortable room, amazing room service, and peace and quiet.
There’s no doubt I will be returning often and will always stay in this hotel.

Cups and spoons in the room were dirty, fridge was not working. Room was cold. Water only as welcome drink on your first day.Breakfast was ok, but variety is poor. Rooms are old.
View is amazing as well as location
