Spent our Xmas again this year at Hogarths . Had the most wonderful time. Service, food, facilities were second to none. The staff were so pleasant and so well organised and nothing was too much trouble . They looked after us from start to finish. Have spent Xmas there a few times over the years but this was the best ever. Wonderful hotel and is very local to us so we do use this on a regular basis. Easy topark, great atmosphere so what more could you want. Rooms were lovely and clean . Well done to you all and a big thank to Laura for organising it all for us.

Just facilitated a 2 day programme here and can’t recommend it highly enough. Every single member of staff was incredibly warm, helpful and upbeat. Nothing was too much bother. Room was lovely. Grounds delightful. Plus, I’ve had a lot of buffet lunches at a lot of hotels over the years - and this was by FAR the best I have ever experienced. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas stay special. The staff were all happy, friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculately clean and the food was delicious. A special thank you to Laura, who arranged our Christmas sleepover and to Wayne who was always bubbly and welcoming. The organisation was fantastic and my vegetarian needs were paid close attention to. πŸ˜ƒ Hope to see you next year.

A huge thank you to everyone at Hogarths who were involved in the planning and delivery of our Golden Wedding anniversary event in early December.
We set out with help from our Event Planner (Laura) to create something very special for around 60 guests. Laura had lots of ideas and suggestions and channelled our thoughts to create an excellent plan for a lunch time event, extended into the evening. We were able to block book bedrooms so that we and many of our guests could stay overnight.
On the day, our Event Director (Jorge) welcomed us and allowed us early access to set up our balloons and photos. The room setup needed a few things tuning but nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you to the staff for getting the Music Room to look perfect and ready for the arrival of our guests.
After a drinks reception with canapes, lunch was served, followed by cutting the cake and later evening food. Laura's suggestion of including a dance floor came into its own when the adverse weather conditions prohibited the younger children from working off their excess energy outside!
Jorge oversaw delivery of a high quality event and any issues were dealt with quickly, especially given the challenges in the rest of the hotel (wind damage to the roof, a tree down on the entrance road and having to cope with a large party when the marquee was not able to be used).
Our guests were effusive in their praise for the room and its decor, for the quality of the food and for the friendliness of the staff, who delivered high quality service.
Many of our guests stayed overnight and were delighted with their luxurious overnight accomodation and a sumptuous full English breakfast the following morning.
Thank you again to the staff who we met and to all those behind the scenes who we didn't. You all made our day very special!

We booked a potting shed for a meal after a wedding, but due to the change in the weather, (it had been snowing and the temperature had dropped) the hotel rang to see if we wanted to move our booking to their restaurant inside, which we gladly did.
The staff were efficient, helpful, and friendly.
We'd booked a room for the bride and groom, and they loved it and their overnight stay.
I can't fault the hotel, from follow up emails and calls to the service on the day, I would thoroughly recommend Hogarths Hotel.

This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel and it is just as good the second time around. A large group of us have met here twice for a company meeting. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are amazing, so attentive, you couldn't ask for better hosts. The rooms are immaculate, stylish and the beds are the comfiest I've ever stayed in. Can't wait for our next visit as i suspect this will become our usual spot as everyone has sang its praises! Special mentioned to Jake and Gabriel for these evening, the service has been outstanding!

As a group of 4 we have spent all year in search of the perfect Sunday lunch, saving Hogarths Brasserie especially for Christmas, unfortunately this was far from perfect. We all agreed that the ambience when we arrived was spot on and very festive. We took drinks in the bar and everyone was attentive and we were well looked after. On starters we all opted to try something different (now it might have helped if the staff were better trained on what they were serving as even the simplest of enquiries totally flummoxed them) but the chicken terrine, smoked haddock rillette and mushroom filo were well received (not spectacular but okay). However, the Old Winchester Curd served without any accompaniment (i.e. a cracker or sourdough) was a one dimensional plate of soft textures and needs some more thought. So not a bad start but not as good as we had hoped for. Onto the mains: the three turkeys were well presented, not overly generous but enough for our appetites. The hake was enjoyed by our other diner but again not overly generous. The mashed swede was awesome (probably the best bit of the whole dinner) and the carrots plentiful – it was a shame they arrived a bit late and there were no greens to break up what was now quite a beige plate of turkey. The roast potatoes were the worst roast potatoes I have ever had, anywhere in the whole world, and the turkey gravy was a watery experience lacking the rich unctioness we craved. Onto puds – three choices here – the Christmas pud was okay – the chocolate tart was okay – the polenta cake was shocking!! I haven’t ever seen something as dry as this. This was a pudding that the chef had not tried or it would never have been sent out – dry and tasteless with a dollop of jam on the side – truly awful. We felt the surroundings, the beautifully printed Xmas brochure promised so much – the occasion failed spectacularly

This is our 6th time visiting Hogarths for a family Christmas Eve lunch. This year’s visit was exceptional, from the moment we arrived to the end. The food was fantastic, served promptly with no issues at all. We were looked after very well by all the team. Special mention to Emma for looking after us today, she is a credit to the hotel. Thank you everyone for your hospitality today, can’t wait to rebook for next year.||The Macdonald/Pitham/Jones/Bragg/Parkes Family
