My Family and I had a 1 night stay at Holden House as we were celebrating a family wedding We booked most of the rooms.
Would highly recommend. Lovely accommodation. Beautiful setting. River one side canal other with Heritage museum and lots of wild life.
Our hosts prepared a lovely glass of bubbly before we left. Wished we could have stayed longer. Hosts very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Nothing was too much for them. Andy even checked my tyre pressures as a warning light came on.
Breakfast was 10/10

We had a lovely stay here unfortunately only for the one night, we would definitely stay here again for a couple more nights. The breakfast was beautifully presented and tastes delicious enjoyed every bit of it. The hosts are very welcoming, attend to your needs nothing is too much trouble, very friendly and don't mind a little chit chat with you. We both loved staying here. Very clean cosy room 👌 loved the decor 😍 THANK YOU for having us stay with you it was a very pleasant experience!!

We had a lovely peaceful stay in room 2 which overlooks the river. The room is beautifully decorated and presented. We appreciated the little extras such as Nespresso coffee maker and bath robes. There were also plenty of other hot drink options. Breakfast was a simple but tasty, freshly cooked full English, but there was also an option of a bacon roll. Holden House is excellently situated for walks along the canal and there is a pub/restaurant practically next door which was very handy. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Fantastic welcome, really felt at home here. The room was beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend Holden House to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Wish we here for longer to explore the area in more detail .

Fantastic, won't hesitate to stay again. They know how to cook bacon properly! Decent shower and friendly hosts. Good walk along the canal to a couple of pubs.

Stayed one night at Shardlow in the lovely Holden House. We chose this property after reading excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and were delighted with our stay.|The room as expected was a little small but was immaculate and clean.|Breakfast was delicious and we loved our short stay.|I would highly recommend this property!

Holden House is an excellent place to stay Andy & Anna are the nicest people you will ever meet. I have stayed here on numerous occasions and it’s always a pleasure to be here. Fabulous area with lots of excellent pubs and restaurants.. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
