Superb stay - swimming pool use included, little play area for toddlers at reception next to restaurant, drinks available at reception, staff very friendly... Wide range of breakfast. Kids activity packs given when checking in, what a lovely touch. I felt well looked after. Thank you to all the staff.

We had a very enjoyable stay, great location and good for children. Staff were very friendly and went over and above. Food and service were excellent. Unfortunately there is no lift which made it difficult with bags, buggies and small children. Having said that it would not stop me from booking in the future.

Room was lovely and spacious, on the ground floor, good comfortable double bed - some issues with the pillows though, which we sorted out ourselves. The bathroom was very small , however, particularly the bath, so I think we would stay in either an accessible room or a King Size Premium Room where the bath is likely to be bigger.

Had a most enjoyable stay, and would stay there again now we know how to get to it easily!

Staff on Reception were amazing and made sure that we had everything we needed - including the late check out option. Again, minor issue with this as they said we would have to check out at 1 pm, when we checked at Reception about it. However, they must have reconsidered because the following day, Reception rang our room and told us we didn't have to check out until 2 pm.

I was greeted by warm and friendly reception staff. I was made to feel welcome.
However, I was not impressed by the lack of facilities. A pool and hot tub are advertised but I could not use these because of ongoing issues with a boiler. This also impacted the use of hot water for the shower. It would have been better if guests were alerted of this before arrival and offered refund for their trip. It was not the standard we expected or paid for.

The corridor decor was a bit tired and in need or a face-lift. But I would have looked past that if the boiler issue had been corrected or I had been pre-warned.

The wifi worked but I could not figure out how to get on to digital TV channels via wifi. And I could not call to my firend's room.

Please be careful with the design of the bathroom door in relation to where the sink is located. Little finger can get caught. Another design with the way teh dor is installed may help.

The breakfast food was reasonable. But if you are vegetarian do nott expect veggie sausagees here for breakfast. They do not cater. Please watch out for fruit juice and not coridal masquerading as juice!

Those are my disappointments.

The service was excellent and the staff very accomodating - that's the positive!

We have been staying at this excellent hotel every few weeks since moving out of the area but needing to return to visit elderly relative. ||We have plenty of options where to stay but so happy we tried this one first. We just keep returning time after time because it meets our needs so well. ||From the greeting at reception (Anu last night was brilliant as always), to bar, catering and cleaning staff all are friendly and professional. It is also good to see visible management both in the evening and morning. Everybody we meet offer a smile and a greeting. ||Of course, it is good to have friendly and professional staff but this needs to be backed up with rooms that are as described and in good order and we are certainly not disappointed on this score either. All the rooms we have been allocated on our various visits have been excellent. ||We travel with a small dog and he loves his stay as much as we do. ||A great value stay, in a well located hotel surrounded by plenty of trees and open countryside. We will be back soon!

Highly recommend as first time I used this service. We originally booked an apartment elsewhere but it was filthy so I booked holiday inn last minute and it was the best decision. Very clean and tidy, friendly staff and very comfortable bed

nice well appointed room. Clean and modern.
only down size was twin beds, all that was available. Check in a bit slow, lady not very enagaging. Breakfast was excellent. Overall good value and would return.

I chose this hotel as having stayed here in the past.

Downside I wasn’t awarded my Greener stay points which seems to happen more and more these days and you have to wait 7 days post check out to request them on your account.

It would be a great idea to publish if not on your website at least at reception the times the pool has children’s swimming lessons. After a days work I love to swim to unwind before I have dinner. This is the main reason for choosing this hotel yet you are not informed there’s children’s lessons. I get you’ve roped the pool off but it’s not a very relaxing atmosphere.

Also on website for pool an idea to stare you need a padlock as I’m sure plenty of business people don’t carry one with them.
