Thanks to the team at Holiday Inn Doncaster. We booked 29 rooms for our school group in June. The facilities were great, rooms were clean, the breakfast was nice and staff were very friendly. The team were organised for our arrival, which is not always the case with larger groups! We will definitely book again next year. Everyone we dealt with was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The choice at breakfast was great and there was something for everyone. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning in its main building, which wasn't ideal as we visited on the hottest day of the year so far but those in the annex building did have Air-con. The main building had fans and we were able to open the windows without being impacted by noise as it is set far enough away from the road. They have a generous car park that accommodated out coach. The reception area is huge with mobile phone charging facilities, allowing our young people a place to socialise without disturbing other guests. The grounds are lovely and the building has a well kept modern interior. Thanks for having us and we hope to be back soon!

I loved the 70s architecture! So to the critics saying “tired” I say open your eyes. The public spaces are light and spacious. We loved the location so close to the motorway yet quiet and calm. We enjoyed our relaxed evening meal and drink and the included breakfast was exceptionally good ….so much choice. I loved that I could easily take my morning walk because it is so close to a park. Staff were polite and attentive.

My partner and i stayed here for one night and were warmly welcomed by Lila, who kindly arranged us an early check-in and upgraded our room - a gesture we greatly appreciated. The room was clean, spacious and modern with a mini fridge stocked with complimentary water and chocolate. The on site restaurant and bar offered a diverse menu, and the food was exceptional. We’d also like to say thank you to Richard as he was very attentive, informative and lovely to speak to (as were the rest of the team) We were also surprised to find Starbucks coffee served at the bar, as this is the first time we've encountered this at a Holiday Inn. Overall, the stay was memorable, and we can't wait to return. Thank you!

The staffs were very rude, unapologetic unprofessional and unsympathetic. I am not one to blame everything on race but on this occasion, the staffs at Doncaster were very racist! the way they treated me and my kids, I will never stay here again!
first my car broke down, so had to stay over as an emergency, checking in was swift but I was put in a smelling room and asked to be moved, they were nice by upgrading myself and kids to a nicer family room (this was the only good part of my stay) I was told breakfast is free for kids under 14, and the receptionist said my kids did not have to pay as I had a 3months old, 1 year old and 11years old. only for my credit card to be charged 30 pounds!!! after we had checked out, when I rang to ask why. they said they charged myself and 2 kids for breakfast!! like how does this make sense That their policy states 1 child per paying adult, which I don't have problem with, but why would the receptionist say my kids can eat free then charge me later, without my knowledge! That was theft. The only child that ate was my other girl that is 11, not only that, they were very rude and talked about their guests to other guests. I felt like I was in kindergarten.
Never ever going to stay here again! horrible horrible! The breakfast was poor and cold.

We stayed for my father in law's funeral, 2 rooms- one for me and my husband and one for my mum who was looking after our toddler.
All the staff (reception, bar, dining and cleaning) were so helpful and friendly. They moved my mum (and her bags and cot) to a downstairs room to make it easier when she brought the baby back and showed her the little play area. A staff member even played with our toddler so that we could finish our breakfast.
We were incredibly grateful of all of the staff!

A small cold room, no phone, no heating, needed a dust and mould in the bathroom. I was due to stay for another night later in the week but I cancelled and booked in elsewhere which is a shame, as Holiday Inn' used to be a great experience. This site spoiled the brand's reputation big time.

Lovely, friendly and professional staff.|Food really disappointing as very expensive for small portions. Kids size bowl of soup, smallest pot of tea I have ever seen real rip off snd actually no need. Hotel ok, old fashioned but quiet just really expensive to eat and drink. Coffee over priced yet out of a machine, come on need to really change, no wonder on last few occasions it’s been dead in the bar!!
