The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms are spacious enough and breakfast was good. Parking is £5.
The best WI-FI experience I’ve had as it was fast, steady and the signals didn’t drop once.
Next Tim I come around Burton-on-Trent I would certainly look to stay here again.

The lady that checked us in was informative and quick. Very polite and welcoming. We booked along with a few other families at this hotel to visit St George’s Park the following day, it was convenient as it’s so close. Morrisons, McDonald’s and a Flaming Grill pub all in walking distance of a couple of minutes. Breakfast done the job, a typical Holiday Inn express, the hash browns weren’t great but other than that, a great stay overall.

Hotel Staff, great. Choice for free breakfast was great. Grab any drink you like and you also have the option to place it in a takeaway cup, awesome. The Room: Square toilets! I felt like I could fall in!

But the real issue... I can sleep on almost anything and as a seasoned traveller I've had that opportunity but NEVER have I ever experienced such a hard mattress! It was so bad, I gave up in agony by 3am and used the sofa bed. It comes to something when the sofa bed is the preference.

I'm 14st, 6ft and otherwise in fine health.

Top class outfit. First time staying @ holiday inn. Everything was really good from check-in to the breakfast which was included in our room price.
The room was spotless and plenty of quality towels. Breakfast was very good & staff were friendly and helpful definitely will use in future

Great experience at this hotel. I travelled with my daughter for a dance show at Alton towers, it’s a great location and a great price.

The staff could not be more helpful, they were fantastic. I wanted to stay an extra night at very very short notice and this was sorted with no issue without us having to change rooms.

The beds are comfy, everything was clean there’s a lovely smell throughout the hotel. Breakfast is included with your stay. There is a great variety, from a continental breakfast, cereals, pastries, porridge etc.

They even supply grab and go bags, so if you are in a hurry you can make yourself a bacon roll, or take some fruit, pastries, coffee to take with you on your journey (or in my case, a teenager who was still sleeping and would have missed the breakfast time)…

There’s not anything I disliked about the hotel. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Modern and clean. Big room, comfy bed, nice bathroom and efficient shower. Quiet inside and out for good nights sleep. Breakfast a bit busy and seating a lacking. Extra charge for the car parking is not a good look. Overall, it suited my needs.

We were made very welcome on arrival and were given a room on the ground floor, as we were only staying one night, the view of the bins from our bedroom window was not a problem!
Our room was spotless and well appointed with a very nice shower room (and even the access corridor carpet was amazingly clean).
The buffet breakfast choice was outstanding. The choice of food available in the evening in the hotel restaurant looked appealing but on the evening we stayed the restaurant area felt cold and lacked atmosphere so we took a short walk to a local restaurant.
We were very happy with our stay here.

I booked a one night stay for myself, my husband and our three-year-old daughter as we were travelling up from London to visit Alton Towers. The hotel is approximately 45 minute drive from Alton Towers. We were pleasantly surprised at how much this hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel was fresh and modern. Our room was clean, tidy, inviting and comfortable. The bed was amazing! We all slept so well. The room included all the little extras (iron, ironing board, hairdryer). The bathroom was bright and trendy with a lovely large sink and large shower. The complimentary toiletries were good quality. Breakfast was included in the price, which is fantastic value for money. There was a good variety and the food was delicious. I can't recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely be staying again!
