I visited the hotel to visit a young asylum seeker, and was met at the door by a chap in a hi viz jacket who denied me entry. The protocol being that my visitee had to come down and collect me from the reception. I then had to sign in ; name, day, date, car registration number, time in and time out.
Whilst I understand the need for the security, I found the atmosphere unwelcoming, oppressive and almost somewhat threatening. Sadly there are women and children living here, but it's a societal necessity.

The hotel was easy to find and easy to park. Formalities were quickly dealt with and understandable. The room had all we needed and nothing was complicated. It was also clean and tidy. The bathroom had all the basic necessities and was practicable and comfortable. The bedroom seating minimal but suitable and the bed one of the best I have experienced. Breakfast was fine and enjoyable, we wanted nothing more and that was exactly what we wanted. Check out was without complication and smooth. Your staff could not be faulted. It was good value for money.

The hotel is either very new or very recently renovated. The lobby and bar area is very welcoming. The staff where friendly and helpful and efficiently realty with any requests.

The rooms where a good size, clean, and tastefully designed. Annoyingly you can open the window, but you can't keep it open for some reason. This wouldn't be an issue if I could get the Aircon to throw out anything other than hot air. Beds where comfortable and I enjoyed the choice of pillows. Bathroom was well designed and a nice place to be.

The bar area was well staffed and stocked with reasonable priced.

This brand new hotel has everything modern, clean and fresh looking so on first impressions it was very good indeed. We were greeted by a young man on reception who allocated our room but within minutes of getting there, somebody was trying to get in our door, it was a couple who had just been given the same room by a lady on reception - not a good start! I had emailed the Hotel in advance requesting a 'quiet room' and '4 extra pillows', to help with my bad back condition - we were allocated our quiet room towards the end of the corridor but as for the pillows, I waited an hour then phoned reception - just 2 arrived so I accepted that! The TV remote did not work at first, it did not have a back cover so the batteries kept falling out - we managed though!! Then realised the wifi code was not in the room guide, so went back to reception again to ask! We we very disappointed by the 'restaurant', not having stayed in an 'express' recently, we did not really know what to expect. The menu was on what looked like a scrap of paper, it had pen scribbles and lots of spelling mistakes - I thought after we had handed it back to the bar that I should have taken a photo in disbelief. We thought it was rather expensive for what we had - chicken tikka, pizza, chips, red wine and pint of lager totalled £32!! Despite the lack of choice, the food arrived in good time and was actually very tasty - the waitress was very polite and helpful. We had a similar experience at breakfast, being an 'express hotel' it was very busy - ran out of clean plates and there only seemed to be one waitress rushing around doing everything! Food was hot and tasty, so overall we were happy! We had a really good night's rest - the large bed was lovely and comfortable so I did not need all my other 2 pillows after all - our room was a little chilly at first as we could not adjust the heat settings. Our 10.45am check out went smoothly - the car was parked in their free car park just outside, so everything was good in the end.

We have stayed here a quite few times over the the last 3 or 4 years.

The staff are always friendly and helpful.

The rooms have always been clean, once we found hairs in the shower, the staff rectified it straight away and very apologetic.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The only thing that let's it down is the breakfast and to be fair, that's just me being picky.

There's nothing really wrong with it but we have stayed in similarly priced hotel chains and had individually/freshly cooked breakfasts rather than the precooked/heated food here.

This hotel is amazing for the price . Lovely clean rooms . Sofa bed was a tad uncomfortable but the bed allowed for a nice sleep. Excellent breakfast which came included that we didn’t expect and was amazing ! Fresh and really tasty with good options . Definitely

would stay here again .

Staff were really helpful and the hotel has done a great job at arranging breakfast for all guests in light of the pandemic by way of forms and individual bags which can be collected in the morning and eaten either in the restaurant area or in your room to maintain social distancing. Sanitizer stations at reception are helpful and the hotel was nice and clean . Lovely stay

For a couple using the hotel as a base it was ideal. The staff could not be faulted, welcoming and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bed was too soft and not as big as I'm used to but that's my personal preference. Breakfast had a great selection and was consistently replenished and tables cleared quickly. Bar was small but with an adequate selection. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend.

We stay at Holiday inn Express at Dunstable 6 or 7 times a year.

The staff have always been polite, friendly and helpful.

The rooms are always clean as is the bathroom.

Unfortunately on this visit there were a lot of noisy guests, not the staffs fault.

The only real criticism we have is the breakfast, it was busy but they were struggling to keep up with supply of food and cutlery.

We have stayed in similarly priced hotels and had far better breakfasts.

We often take our own breakfast and don't bother with the hotel one.

Will we stay again? Definitely.
