Stayed the weekend with my son as was busy the Harry Potter tour. After a long 6 hour drive from Newcastle arrived early evening. Easy to find, room was ideal for what we wanted, comfy beds, nice shower and tea/coffee facilities. Had food in the hotel as we were tired from drive, and was pleasantly surprised was really nice food and my son loved the fries and dessert. Hotel is in a great location for restaurants and coffee shops, really quiet on evening and breakfast was superb. Would definitely stay again.

We checked in late after a concert at Wembley and having found the last available parking spot, we pressed the buzzer and were let in by a friendly receptionist.

Check-In was prompt and straightforward, and the rooms were perfectly clean and functional. The free WiFi is fast and although chaotic in terms of queueing an organisation, the included breakfast was very tasty. All in all, hard to find fault with this hotel.

Day 1 - Check in very slow, 7 minutes with staff ignoring queue. To cap it all another couple just jumped ahead and took ages with their complaints.||Day 2 - No spoons to eat cereal with for over 5 minutes. We were therefore delayed in getting to the hot good, which was removed at 09:59 (Sunday) from under our noses and the coffee machine turned off. Dreadful.||Later, in the evening returned to find room keys did not work. No-one in reception for 10 minutes and a big queue had built up. About 5 minutes in, a member of staff walked past and completely ignored us and the queue.||Should a reception ever be left unstaffed for so long? With no bell or other means of calling staff at reception in an emergency, what should one do?||Not the hottest of summer days, but the room was sweltering , with an air conditioning system that lowered the room temperature by 0.5C over 3 hours. ||A significant failure of reception staffing. One day may excusable, (and wouldn’t have been mentioned), but two in a row shows a managerial failing. The staff all seem to be miserable. As to breakfast, I have never experienced that kind of “service” before.||Very convenient for Apsley station, and the couple of restaurants over the modern canal bridge are well worth a visit.||I doubt we will be staying here again.

Stayed in an accessible room, it was big enough and the bathroom/wetroom was a good size too. The shower pressure was awful though and you couldn't remove the shower head which made bathing more difficult than it should be. The lady that checked us in was friendly, polite and helpful making sure I had an evacuation plan in place should the worse happen. Breakfast was nice with a fairly good variety of cooked breakfast items, continental items, cereals and drinks. My one gripe would be the hallways; the cleaning staff had bags, trolleys and cleaning equipment out on the hallways which made it difficult for me in my wheelchair to get to my room. I understand they need all of the equipment but perhaps thinking about where things were placed would have made things easier.

Air conditioning in the rooms did not work thankfully there was a fan. |Whoever designed the bathroom access obviously has no disability as it has a step access: to get in you have to lift the walker over this step which is a bit scary on your own. |Breakfast adequate but could finish at 10 rather than 9.30.

As with many hotels in UK everything is looking tired and it’s very apparent there is a lack of staff and energy levels seemed low. Breakfast was stressful, tables were only slowly being cleaned up which led to delays which was an unpleasant way to start the day. Great pub across the way by the river which was an advantage.

I have been coming to this hotel for some years now . All the staff professional friendly helpful . Bedrooms immaculate. It’s by the side of Apsley canal so in a lovely location . Shout out to Helen, James , Maria, Sylvie, Zach, Cameron , the lovely hard working cleaning ladies always friendly and helpful . I have only just Met Ellie the Manager on this trip . She is efficient professional friendly funny and helpful . I have my perfect room for me tucked away and on the same floor as reception as I have a cane to walk with . Just as well it was tucked away watching our beautiful young footballers play in the final last night . I got a bit vocal shall we say cheering them on . It’s so easy when you stay at hotel to park car . Go across the road to Apsley train station and head in to Euston and you are in london. This hotel very close to the Harry Potter experience . What’s not to like . Cannot recommend it more highly .|Barbara

Lovely hotel clean bright. Location great by lovely canal up the road from harry potter studios that's why we came. Rooms clean and fresh. Stayed with 2 children. Just be careful of bed frame for pull out bed needs padding on to make it safer for children lots of different metal bits sticking out if your child rolls out of bed could be dentist job.really dangerous maybe abit of foam just around it.Staff friendly. Only down side was the food maybe the chief was having an off day. Everything over cooked to rice to chicken. Was really really poor for what we paid. Waited over an hour even the chips were very pale soggy and under cooked.Just seemed to be no care taken into the food. Pizza thought would be safe with but again cheese not cooked on top.And when you have travelled long journey with children and just want something at the hotel it's abit annoying. I did get a full refund tho on the inedible food.and the staff didn't hesitate to do so.And grabbed a pizza which was lovely located by the canal. Breakfast was good tho so maybe a different chief cooks the breakfast as that was great. Maybe few more t bags in the room. For bigger t drinkers.nice pub across the road for quick drink. Nice peaceful location Cheers guys great stay Just get a new chef then would be 5 stars all round.
