I stayed in this hotel for 6 days over New Year. The staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble-I felt really well looked after as a disabled customer. My room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast is a bit early (7.30-9.30) but the choice is acceptable for the price with cereals, various hot breakfast foods and then croissants or toast. It is also very nice to be able to get bar food throughout the day with their reasonable bar food, which is not cheap but is very tasty.

My only complaint, which is common to many hotel bedrooms with walk in showers, is that there is nothing to stop the water from the shower head spreading all over the.bathroom floors. There is a curtain but it only covers one side of the shower, and even though I was really careful in the shower, it still spread literally all over the floor. Then even with using 2 of the huge hotel bath towels and 2 of their bath mats they did not soak up all the water, so I then was paddling to get to the toilet. So I ended up only using the shower once as that is such a horrible feeling. I did point out to them that the shampoo and body soap were not in an accessible position if you are in a wheelchair and cannot stand up and suggested they bring those items down to a lower level where everyone can reach them.

Bit overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. There is plenty of parking, although the spaces for disabled customers are limited and not marked out with the usual yellow markings that give extra room on the drivers’ side. But it is a huge car park and there is plenty of room to just park over 2 spaces if necessary…And it is right next to a David Lloyd fitness centre and a very big Asda store should you need anything you have forgotten or extra supplies.

A perfect location over the Christmas period.

This was my first stay at the hotel and was far cheaper than the competitors.

Reception team were very helpful and checking in and out was so simple.

The room had an extremely comfortable bed along with a good selection of hot drinks, television, and an impressive bathroom. The room was very spacious and the windows totally blocked out any noise.

Breakfast choice was way more than I could eat and is included in the price (no bolt on unlike other chains). The quality of the food available was very good.

No problems with car parking as there were plants of spaces.

Good, clean room with plenty of space. Storage available, included a shower, wash area and toilet with separate door. We had a family room with a pull out sofa bed that was comfortable and set up on arrival. Breakfast was good with lots of option.
Hotel cleaners did try to enter before check out time but left quickly when they saw us in room.

We had some confusion with our reservation that was of no fault of the HIE. Still, the over night front desk staff went out of their way to help us, making transportation arrangements for us beyond their role, as we slept. We so appreciated this and will surely return. I only wish I could have thanked the duo myself. Other notable appreciations: 24 hour access to food and beverages, a clean and quiet room, and the price. Well done HIE, Norwich team!

On arrival i was greeted very politely. As a disabled badge holder parking was easy despite a busy health club next door. The staff was excellent and very helpful as i was told by some local friends it was run down due to immigrants living there, this was not the case at all. Breakfast was ok and basic but i had breakfast, when looking to go out the staff helped with taxis and recommendations.

A good stay near the city of Norwich, lovely room size, very clean and a good breakfast. Would stay again. Staff were nice. Down side was the limited parking due to it being joined with a leisure facility and there is a £5 parking charge

HI Express in Norwich I have stayed in over the past ten years. The staff and Manager are really efficient and very pleasant to talk to. Nothing is too much trouble, and the atmosphere is good.

Rooms are neat and tidy and it does what it says on the tin.

Breakfast okay and menu okay but as I stay in a lot of HI hotels quite samey.

Stay here on a regular basis, great for the airport if needed.

Don't be put off by the look of the other buildings look. We almost turned away and found somewhere new to stay as the buildings around the hotel need a refurbishment/ a lot of paint.

We are glad we stayed as the inside of the hotel we couldn't fault. We both had a great night sleep and amazing short stay away with the added bonus of a good breakfast in the morning before our long drive home.
