What a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were really friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. |The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, good bed, great shower and plenty of hooks on the wall! |Breakfast was also very, very good and most importantly it was lovely and hot. |The location being a stone’s throw from the station was very convenient and a taxi rank to the rear was great. It was a 10 minute walk into town. |I stayed with a friend for 2 nights immediately after staying at 5 star hotels in Italy and Portugal and we both agreed that our stay here was actually more enjoyable. |Special mentions to Pauline, Caroline, Maria, McKenzie and Kasey. This was exactly how a stay in a hotel should be- would recommend to anyone and will absolutely be back.

Fantastic customer service and help from the moment we walked in to the evening meal and breakfast. The room really clean with great view and you couldn't get any closer to the station. The evening meal was delicious ..especially the chilli. It was one of the best stays we have had in a hotel and the staff again were so friendly and helpful..a benchmark in customer service

Rooms spacious and very clean. All staff amazing. Reasonable prices breakfast wad amazing and plenty of it with loads of choice best we had in a long while. Right by the station with great parking. Close to town short walk. Gym at the side and Sainsbury's across the road. Would we stay here again for the price, most definitely.

Very nice hotel, spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, nice comfortable bed and big shower, excellent breakfast too, perfect for train station and town. Wish they told us about half price parking as I can see in other reviews, is this still available? (For if I stay again) I am a member and booked through IHG app and wasn’t made aware ?‍?

We went for a weekend to look at places related to family history so it was mostly a base for the whole area rather than a visit to Stockport. The room was lovely and clean and what you would expect for Holiday Inn even the Express hotels. There was real attention to detail in the design of the room. It looses 1 ⭐ because the evening food was not that great, it felt like a little over use of the microwave. The breakfast was great and plentiful but I'd go somewhere else for an evening meal.

My wife and I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Stockport a few times and the customer service is always good. From the breakfast service in the morning to the room cleaning etc, the team are always very helpful.||As we were in the area to visit with family, our stay lasted for more than 2 weeks.||One initial challenge we had was people smoking around us in another room, so asked to be moved and were put at the end of the corridor in 424. All the 24 ending rooms are on their own and away from others so a good tip for some peace and quiet.||Overall, a good stay and very convenient for visiting family. However, the hotel needs to be much stricter on those breaking smoking rules as the smoke passes elsewhere via ventilation.||I was told £100 fine for smokers. I would say, £250 for a second offence and then £500 and being asked to leave for a third offence.

My wife daughter and I stayed at the Stockport Holiday Inn for one night on 1May 2024 prior to leaving the UK, I had stayed previously.
The hotel is located at the entrance to Stockport Railway Station, the center of Manchester is seven minutes by train, the airport approximately fifteen minutes by road and easy bus connections.
We were welcomed by friendly staff, who were eager to please and helpful at all levels.
We stayed in a family room, that was modern, spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel, comfortable and despite the location very quiet.
The hotel offers a range of food and beverages and an excellent breakfast.
For us as a family an excellent and convenient place to stay.

A great hotel for an overnight stay before the airport. It’s directly opposite the train station and an NCP car park, so easy to park overnight and walk into Stockport to get an evening meal, and then a short drive to the airport in the morning. Good sized clean room, with all we needed for an overnight stay. We didn’t have the breakfast as left too early. I’d definitely stay here again!
