Staff were great... friendly, helpful and responsive. The breakfast selection was not very good at all. The saving grace was Yorkshire tea and coffee machine. There's some really nice cafes just around the corner - for better quality breakfast.

This hotel is full of contradictions: it really needs a little tlc to bring it up to excellence as it seems a little run down in places.|However all members of staff, although quite young, were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially Millie.|The bedroom would have been spacious except it had a full size fridge in it, an ironing board and luggage rest. The net curtain had come off the rail at one side. The bed was only a double rather than the king sized I would normally expect.|The bathroom had a huge shower, modern loo and sink. The bedding and towels were excellent and the room was very clean.|There was only one lift for six floors, which meant a long wait especially in the morning at breakfast and check out times.|Breakfast was good in quality and quantity and the same young staff consistently restocked items and cleared tables . I got the impression that this was a busy Sunday morning with a high number of guests and yet they worked hard to ensure breakfast ran smoothly.|The staff really made this stay enjoyable.

My stay this time was superb! From the lovely receptionists to the room itself, everything was perfect! The staff were helpful and friends and answered every question they were given. As I’m a wheelchair user the room was big and easy to move about freely. The bed was comfy and big, the bathroom was full of amenities if required, and the shower was just to die for. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice including the hot food which was delicious!

Rooms were large. They have a good double bed and double sofa. Unfortunately they cannot accommodate more than 3 in a room. Reception staff were lovely as always. We have stayed here before due to the convenient location. They are steps away from a good shopping centre with quite a few options. Breakfast was a good selection of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, breads, jams, bean, heated tomatoes (basically an English breakfast minus mushrooms and black pudding), cereal selection, juices as well as tea and coffee machine. I'm not sure if you can request different eggs as we have never requested anything extra. It is a "budget" hotel but you actually get more than you pay for in clean rooms, room size etc. They still provide lovely got showers and soaps etc. You can request toiletries if you forgot them. We always have a great time when we stay.

Booked a room for myself and two friends: double bed and double sofa bed for £140 for a Saturday night, which included breakfast. Great price and great location. Car park at hotel too for £7 24 hours - limited but plenty of spaces available still at 2:30pm after check in.||Upon entering there was a strange smell - a mixture of sick and faeces? Luckily this was not emulated in our hotel room.||Warm welcome from receptionist and quick check in.||Our room was spacious and clean, but needed some TLC - net blinds hanging off, large stain on the carpet, damage to the wood work on both the room door and bath room. A shame considering that a £30 ‘damage’ payment is requested upon arrival - you’d assume that this would be charged to guests and the damage repaired!||Despite this, we all had a good night’s sleep and would stay again for one night if the price was right.

We are always a little wary of the “express”brand, but we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. |It has a good central location with good car parking. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The breakfast was included in the price and it was perfectly fine.

Poor girls on reception and in kitchen for breakfast. Not enough staff only two people big good enough for paying guests. They were great however no eggs bacon sausage hash browns no milk for tea coffee machine empty. Not there fault at all you need more staff to look after guest not have them run off their feet and cannot provide breakfast.. shocking

A very poor night’s sleep. The mattress should have been replaced years ago, as it completely slumped in the middle, causing it to be exceptionally uncomfortable and bad for posture. Noticed also in the morning as the cover sheet had come loose that the mattress was covered in old sweat stains.|On the positive side the staff were friendly and breakfast was included in the price and available quite early. Room a little tired, but quite spacious, hotel is in a quiet area. However beds really need updating with comfortable mattresses.
