We can’t fault the service we received from every member of staff, in all departments. There was a problem with our bedding which was immediately remedied and we were unexpectedly recompensed. No stress, dealt with graciously.

The pool & gym were an important part of our choice to stay here.

The breakfast offering was extensive. I particularly enjoyed the lovely Greek yoghurt. The only thing lacking was some marmite for my toast lol

We will definitely stay here again, when we are in the area.

The staff was amazing and friendly! They absolutely made our trip! The breakfast layout had a large variety and was delicious. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi or both warm and satisfying. The room was large enough for the three of us to stay and have a sofa bed for our daughter. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom needed some scrubbing.

Stayed at the holiday inn this week and received outstanding service from Mia on reception, nothing was too much trouble, she was professional and welcoming at the same time. She is an asset to the company.||On the same visit i used the bar and again received first class service from Tom the bar man. He was keen to provide a quick friendly service, making sure that those waiting to buy a drink were welcomed and served to a very high standard .

The overall stay of the hotel was enjoyable with good facilities, however, the service made the stay rather unenjoyable. Although the staff were pleasant, they weren’t present. We had to wait at the bar for ages and ask reception to get someone to get someone to the bar to order food. Breakfast was also nice however we where stood at the waiting sign for ages, unfortunately we where in a rush due to attending a funeral. Although the stay was fine the only recommendation I can offer is to have your staff more present. When speaking to the staff they were pleasant it was just the waiting on both meals that was unfortunate. This is just a recommendation from also working in the service industry. Thank you

We had really looked forward to our reward night, especially as we have enjoyed all of our other IHG stays. Sadly, it was very disappointing.

The location was ideal, literally 2 minutes from the motorway. There was ample free parking, and the reception area was stunning. Beautifully decorated for the festive season.

And from that point on, it all seemed to go downhill. The corridor carpets were clearly much used, and our room was bitterly cold on arrival. The room had 2 portable oil filled radiators which eventually warmed the room up, but it took some time.

The pool area looked amazing, but sadly the changing area and steam room smelt of urine. The jacuzzi and ladies sauna were both out of use. This was a huge disappointment.

The evening meal was fine, but far from outstanding. The breakfast was lovely which we really appreciated.

I really don’t like to leave negative comments, but there seems no point in leaving a review unless it is honest.

My Daughter booked us in here for a nearby family wedding. We had stayed about 2 years back for a similar event, and to be fair the bedrooms have been modernised since then, but the bathrooms are very dated indeed with old shower curtains and stained grout on the tiles with rusty fittings in the sink and taps and the shower head old and way past their use by dates. You need ear plugs to get a good nights sleep because the walls are thin, but this is not unusual in hotels of this ilk. The saving grace for this hotel is the reception, bar and dining areas which are quite stylish and comfortable and the receptionists are helpful and friendly. The breakfast within the cost of the room is actually exceptional with many choices of both cooked and cold buffets, juices, tea and coffee and fruit. Unfortunately, the dress code for breakfast is non existent and when we stayed some people thought pyjamas, and in one case ,a T shirt and knickers was an acceptable standard of attire for breakfast in a hotel dining room.

Nice hotel, well situated off the major motorways. Big shout out to Liz on front desk, Did a fab job and really made my children feel special and welcome, asking about their days out and what they got up to.. Thank you.

Hotel currently undergoing a refurb which is needed although be interesting to see what they do with the health club because the current layout is barmy.

The outside of the hotel and general lobby looks good. After that it’s back to the 70’s in terms of state of repair, worn, tired and poor maintenance.

My room had a tab that didn’t work and probably 15 years old, a large number of lights not working, shower old but at least hot water and some pressure.

Restaurant is more a lobby except breakfast which is a restaurant. When I went to go to eat a large number of the tables had a piece of scrap paper on them saying out of use. That meant no place to sit and eat !! Why so many tables needed Maintenance?

Check in took a very long while at 6pm no peak time help just one person who has to ask so many questions and steps to Ben for ihg members. Takes far too long. Very far behind the competition

Breakfast was a restaurant and good. I’ve no idea why it isn’t open in the evening for dinner!! Only order a burger from the bar and a number of things on the menu not available!! Terrible choice.

Very poor quality hotel where people don’t seem to care for its state, its service or its maintenance.
