The hotel is a good location around 20 minutes away from Newcastle town centre. The spa isn’t much to go by at all the pool is quite shallow, it has walk in steps so some what accessible. The steam room and sauna is very small as are the changing rooms there is little privacy and the jacuzzi really needs attention as there is mould in the filter grid around the window and tiles it could do with a grout clean.
The stand out factor in this hotel is the staff they are wonderful, so helpful so friendly and treat every guest like royalty. The breakfast here is varied and good great sausages. All in all I would stay again as it was a pleasant stay

The staff were very welcoming and straight away we felt relaxed and understood the lay out. We loved using the pool and sauna. The full hotel was clean and it felt like we were on holiday with a lovely room and the grounds and facilities. The room was very spacious and comfortable. My own complaint would be the curtains didn’t quite block out the car park light and the room was not totally dark which I would prefer. I didn’t ask for a natural pillow as I didn’t see the notice in time but next time I would change my pillow as the ones in the room were not my preferred type. All in all I’d stay again and I really like the hotel.

Ample parking, greeted by a friendly helpful receptionist, Caitlin, who organised our booking for the single night of our stay. She was very polite and professional.
The rooms were of an excellent standard and clean.
Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Service was without fault.
Bar staff, Connor, was very sociable.
All staff, including management and cleaners that we interacted with during our stay were very friendly.
All making our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Our stay was not as enjoyable as previous occasions.

We stayed in a room that appeared to be wheelchair friendly, despite not requesting or requiring this (orange pull cords, low sockets etc). It was in need of an update, especially the bathroom. Plug sockets were near the floor, and no sockets by beds. Heating very loud. Luke warm water for a shower, I gave up trying to run enough hot water for a bath. Ran out of pancakes and pastries at breakfast. Would like quorn/substitute meat veggie sausages (can be frozen), the staff said the ones available were shaped mixed veg, so I didn't order them. On the positive, pool was well maintained, clean and warm, staff were friendly, beds comfortable.

We have stayed here numerous times and always enjoyed it mainly because of the Spa. This time however it wasn't so good. We were firstly unable to get in the Spa, too many children in so there was a waiting list. When we did get in there were children using the Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room even though under 16's aren't permitted to. Also the room was cold, the heating never did work properly. One positive thing was the Reception Staff, they were excellent.

We stayed here to visit family in the area

Although there was an issue with the first room given to us (heating wasn't working properly), once we mentioned this, the staff were incredible and made sure we were moved and had were comfortable.

The staff were all excellent, friendly and polite at all times.

I'd warn you though, if you are relying on public transport to stay in this location, my advice is to look elsewhere.

Other than that, this would be a great location for a wedding, or other celebration.

Great welcome from the reception team and we were able to get an early check in which was really helpful as we were out all day at the races. Newcastle racecourse about a 7/8 min taxi ride away so very convenient. We had a bit of an issue in our room with the TV not working correctly and only showing HDMI and after 3 different members of staff trying to fix it a call to support eventually sorted it. We didn't eat there but had a couple of drinks in the bar. The lobby area was light and fresh feeling and plenty of easy car parking on site. Comfy room and bed so all in all a good overnight stay.

We come back to this hotel time and time again. The service and quality is always consistent and to a high standard. The team of staff are incredibly hard working and friendly, making you feel welcomed throughout your stay. |There is always ample free parking and the hotel is well located, making it the ideal spot for days out at the coast or in Newcastle.|The pool is a good soze and the facilities are well maintained.|The food on offer is also good quality and reasonably priced, should you wish to eat in.|Special thanks to Karen who always goes that extra mile and makes us feel welcomed and valued.
