We had a one-night stay to visit our Son. It was on the day of Storm Darragh and was quite an eventful 4 hour drive. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we got to the hotel. I was using my loyalty points for a free night's stay. The room was immaculate, and we had some nice truffles as a little gift. Overall very comfortable and clean. The beds were very good and we slept soundly. The only slight downside was that it was difficult to turn the radiator down and the air conditioning did not cool the room much. Luckily the windows opened so we managed to get some cool fresh air. I will not criticise the staff as I did not report this, so I did not give them a chance to correct it. Overall a great night's stay and very friendly and helpful staff.

My mum and her best friend stayed here and had a lovely time. I went to see them and staff were really friendly. We got room service and I was surprised by how nice the food was.

We stayed in the same room on our last visit.

It was a good first night but the second night was disturbed by adjoining residents who had a party going on throughout the night. I could have complained about their behaviour but felt it could cause more problems.

The Room was clean and well serviced but several doors and a mirror needs maintenance as I screwed both items up on the last visit but no doubt through usage they have deteriorated.

The score for Sleep quality reflects the second night experience as the first night was good.

After staying in a more expensive hotel and an Airbnb locally before stopping here I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff were great and ambience lovely. The room was clean with great lighting, quality bedding and very comfortable bed and pillows. The shower was powerful and efficient - such a treat after a wet cold day!
Dinner was delicious and staff friendly and efficient.
Parking was included in the price which was a bonus after previously having to pay £20/30 per day!
Also breakfast which was well cooked, varied and delicious
Breakfast staff kept everything running smoothly.
I can't fault anything here and would definitely recommend it!

Excellent food options, prices a bit high. Staff generally very friendly and helpful.
I wasn't keen on the loud questioning of restaurant guests about saving a card before eating. Could be embarrassing for some people.
Duty managers go above and beyond.
Although I did have to ask a couple of times for certain things like pillows this was usually when an event was happening.
Dog friendly hotel and a great setup here overall

The Room was small by comparison with another Holiday Inn we have stayed at in the Newcastle upon Tyne area supposedly of the same grade.

It was well fitted out and warm and comfortable and provided with good tea and biscuit's as well as water and Pepsi in the fridge and a Kit Kat. Towels were provided for two people which was great as at the other establishment referred to previously only provided for one person and one had to ask for a second set. The Room service i.e. changing towels and making the beds was excellent.

I used the Restaurant but was very disappointed at the time taken to order and then at the price paid for a Fish dish which I choose. The desert was reasonable but not in price for what you paid. As a consequence I did not use the Breakfast offering being concerned at the price and what may be available.

This is a great location with good onsite amenities. Restaurant is comfortable and the food was excellent. Only watch out would be if you are taking your pet, be aware that there is no option to add this to the initial booking and pay at point of finalising and making payment. The hotel stated dogs are welcome but no immediate visual reference that the charge for taking your pet is £15 per night, which is only payable upon arrival. After various searches on the website I did find that a charge was mentioned, but it is not detailed on actual booking area. That said, the staff were great over our 4 day stay, and I would definitely both recommend this hotel, and stay here again. TIP: if you arrive 10pm, the restaurant is closed, as are all local eateries, but there is an Asda open until midnight at the nearby Galleries shopping centre!
