Excellent tea room on the main route through Cheddar Gorge. Very good menu for any time of the day with plenty of gluten free options. We had the cream teas, one gf, both excellent. Very friendly staff who told us they get very busy from Easter onwards so try off peak if you can. They also have outdoor seating and a take away counter. Well worth a visit. Excellent atmosphere surrounded by local memories and antiques. Highly recommended.

Holly House Tea Rooms is situated further up Cheddar Gorge towards the attractions. A good selection on the menu and it sells teapots in the window. The walls have fascinating photos of old Cheddar Gorge. The staff are really nice as are the cakes. Dog friendly. Worth a stop at.

Stopped for something for lunch after visiting the caves. Service was very swift and friendly.
The food was amazing, incredibly tasty and very well presented.
Even when I asked for a box/bag to take the rest of my cheese home it was no bother and it was very quickly given a container.
Would happily visit again if in the area

Wonderful tea room. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely sandwich and pot of tea for 2.
I had a cheese, ham and cheddar chutney sandwich. Very fresh and tasty.
My dad had cheese and tomato and also fresh.
Lovely atmosphere. Very busy. Also so many ice cream options!

Did Jacob’s ladder and needed food and drink fast. Great menu choices. The four of us had sausage rolls and pasties. Really friendly people delivering a great service. Thank you.

Came in for lunch after our dog walk and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. It was a hot day so everyone was sat outside the back, so we had the whole inside to ourselves, perfect for our tired dog who just wanted to be out of the direct sun! We were happy to see some vegan options on the menu and opted for the vegan cheese and ploughman's pickle sandwich on granary bread, which was lovely! Soon enough, we found out that they also sell ice-cream so went outside to order from the hatch. The vegan coconut and passion fruit sorbet were one of the best vegan ice-cream I've ever had, and they even had vegan waffle cones!! I would highly recommend stopping off here. 🙂

Fab cafe most welcoming dog got a bowl of water before I had even put my order in. The ploughman's was lovely I swear they put extra large cheese on so I could share with my dog. Highly recommend helpful and gave me directions to a dog walk I might enjoy. Please support by visiting we need more dog friendly places such as this.
