Just back from here after a good weekend. Stayed in room 11 which was perfect with our dog for access outside. Nice balcony with great views. Room was very clean and comfortable. Food in morning and evening meal was fantastic, especially in evening. Tried the bakery during the day, Carrot cake amazing. Staff were fantastic and always on hand anytime you required them.|Never tried the pool area.|Thanks for a good weekend.

We enjoyed just visiting the restaurant for dinner. The food, service and views were wonderful. Highly recommend. The detail and taste were delicious. The wine suggestion tasted great with our dinner. We had the venison, cooked to perfection. All the while enjoying the stunning scenery.

Firstly, this hotel is in a stunning location, beautiful views and perfectly located to tour Glencoe and the surrounding area. The rest is not so great… we stayed in room 21 which was clean but tired. The bed was incredibly hard which is ok overnight but after 4 nights it took its toll. In fairness I don’t think the room is used very often, the ceilings were so low you could not sit up in bed and the tv was positioned so you couldn’t watch it easily. One chair in the room had no foam in the seat and so turned into a kind of comedy chair ! The view however was beautiful - well it was out of the bedroom but the bathroom view was a little more disturbing. The problem was the bathroom faced another bathroom and although it had a blind you could see straight into the bathroom opposite. Privacy was a huge issue which we flagged on day one with the hotel requesting that the guests in that room drew their blinds however no action was taken and so let’s just say we saw more of them than we would have led too.|We are in the restaurant on two occasions the first was ok although I felt £31.95 for a sirloin steak was a bit OTT. Due to my dietary restrictions I asked for just the steak and 2 fried eggs and was told I could have it once but not to ask again. The second night I did request the same and the eggs were declined because the chef was too busy, so I simply had steak on its own. For this reason we didn’t eat there again. Breakfast was good but served in stone cold plates and the coffee was so strong you could stand your spoon up in it .|On one morning work was being done in the kitchen so sandwiches were provided which being gluten free did not suit us but the hotel refunded the cost of the breakfast back to our room which was fair enough. All in all personally I would not stay here again.

We booked this hotel at short notice, having been let down by another establishment. We found it to be clean and comfortable, with a friendly welcome. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature, the room was spotlessly clean with a great view.|Our server Madeleine in the restaurant was an absolute superstar. Super-friendly and great fun, she is a true asset to the hotel.|We would love to return!

Stayed here a few times before with friends but first time this week with husband. |The views are outstanding which is always the winner for me but it also has a lovely laid back atmosphere in the hotel and is clean & comfortable.|Hubby struggled with the bed as it was very firm but persevered for the few nights we were there. Lovely big walk in shower in our room (Admiral room - ground floor) with a lovely private patio area to sit out and enjoy - if the weather allows!!|Food was lovely but nothing outstanding, menu has (understandably) a lot of fish on but not many other choices. |Breakfast is a hot buffet style, not always that hot though(?) & various choice of cereal, fruit & yogurt.

The location makes this hotel. It is Scotland and therfore beautiful. Other than that the establishment cannot justify the prices. Room 9 was comfortable but certainly not luxury and is in need of a revamp for the prices asked. The bed a comfortable and the shower has plenty of hot water so no isle there. I've attended this hotel on 3/4 occasions for food only and have never been disappointed. On this occasion I booked a short notice overnight stay and again the food was good but with the standard cooked breakfast self served from a hot plate. Now, and this is important...I was relaxing in the dining area with an alcoholic beverage when I was informed at 2140 that the bar was closing and there was no night porter on duty. This is an operational decision and not due to staff shortages. I suggested I would buy another drink and move through to an adjacent lounge however I was informed that the full ground floor bar area was being closed and secured. I suggested to the staff that this means we can only go to our rooms or go outside. They meekly agreed that this was indeed the case. The outside decking was suggested but not a great idea due to midges and or rain plus this has to be vacated at 2300. So there you have it, once the bar closes at 2200 there's nowhere to go other than your bedroom and, this may not be an issue for everyone but if the option of a late drink was appealing you aren't getting it and there is NO service after 10pm and there is no other licenced premises within walking distance and a taxi service is non existent I could tell that staff agreed that this is poor but they still towed the party line. Another consideration was that if an emergency occurred during the night, who would actually be on hand to assist and direct? So due to the lack of service, possible safety issues and being "banished" to my room at 10pm, I will not use this hotel again.

Always one of my favourite stops. Whether an overnight stay or a meal passing through, the Hollytree Hotel is definitely a place to visit. Breathtaking views, attentive staff and the food was so delicious. I had the mussels as usual and also ordered the halibut as it was recommended. Not only was everything prepared to perfection but if no one was looking I definitely would have licked the plate clean;) An absolute must visit when in the Glencoe area. Thank you Hollytree Hotel you never fail to please!!

A solid 9/10 across the board with 10/10 for value for money.
What a stunning location a d variety of stays. The rooms facing the water are very nice. The pool/HotTubs add a little to it too. Really very nice location.
Food was very good and reasonably priced, would recommend the Haggis bites, superb

Breakfast buffet was very good too and included in the room fee and at £119 per night its hard to find fault. No 24 hour is the only very minor criticism, but its minor!
I would recommend for all BigGolfTours followers, and would be a perfect location for our lodges!
If you are heading to Woodlands, Glencoe, Oban or Fort William, you will not be disappointed with a stop over here!
