We stayed in our motorhome for a few, very pleasant days. Late January-early February, so of course it was quiet. We stayed here because my partner had used it several times some years ago, whilst working locally.
Good site with tall hedging creating privacy. Clean on-site showers and toilets. We are thinking of booking after we pick up the new motorhome in early March. I would definitely recommend this site.

Great place for water spots (obviously) they have a great gym loads of parking. I had a single room very basic but comfortable. Got a kettle tea , coffee ,shower USB charger in wall sockets. I booked a room and went to a gig in Nottingham so it was perfect for what I needed . The main gates close at midnight but they give you a phone number and the night manager will come and let you in ...Great service. Would I stay again absolutely but next time would like to try more of their amenities looks a lot of fun .

Nice place to go for a walk round the woods and by a big lake you can also watch people practice kayaking and loads of other water sports with nice views and there are some boats and there is parking and a hotel which I have no information about but I know it's there. There is also water parks and water activities in the summer to bring the kids

Went there for the national dragon boat championship (rowing lake). Did not stay at the hotel. The location is good and it’s nice to have decent toilet and changing facilities. The biggest gripe is the food and drink. A small white coffee was £4 (more than the main chains medium size) and lunch was £13! for quite basic food.

I am very disappointed with the communication I have received from the team regarding my White Water river rafting booking. I paid over £300 deposit on 27th Jan and have yet to receive confirmation of payment and receipt after multiple requests for this to be sent. I have tried calling and emailing without any luck. It has been two weeks now and they've had plenty of opportunities to send just a short email to confirm I have booked in and what payment has been recieved.

I think Holme Pierrepont Country Park is a fabulous facility all round but maybe some tweaks are needed..
In particular the archery sessions.. The session I booked for my son and five of his friends was on an activity pass with high ropes, mini golf and archery.. Reasonably priced at £20.00 each..
The problem came in the archery session which was a bit unorganised but eventually organised in the end.
Mixing adults with children is an utterly stupid! idea.. You should have them separate.. The end of the arrows are not pointy (thank goodness) but there is a round bit of hard plastic at the end..
My son who is 9 was shot in the stomach by an adult and was brought down on his knees from the pain. He was certainly winded.. My son isn’t one to cry easily so it must of hurt for him to cry like he did. The man who shot him was quite apologetic and checked on him along with a member of staff which I was grateful for..
I later found out from my son that the man in question said my son walked/ran into the arrow.. 😳🤔🤷‍♀️.. what a ridiculous thing to say..
Anyway that’s my opinion… So all I would say to anyone with kids, beware who the kids are playing archery with as a man’s strength certainly has more power than a child and your child may get hurt.

On visiting the park for the first time as a blue badge holder. I googled about blue badge parking. It said first 3 hours are free. This is not true. Even tho a small sign on the right half way in says free parking. Apparently not. You must read the sign on the entrance/exit. Very confusing. Parking should be made more simple and not to catch you out in order to give you a £60 fine. We only visited our grandchildren playing.
Also very disappointed with the tatty unclean cafe outdoor area with broken chairs and a lick of paint wouldn't go a miss.
I would give it a wide birth with how expensive and worn out the
Play areas are. Just another rip off park area.
Definitely wouldn't go or recommend. AVOID

Lovely spot went for a cycle ride along the slalom course and then around the rowing lake. Rowing lake path is very flat. Downside was no cafe open so no lunch
