Lovely country pub. The staff can't do enough for you. Unfortunately only one down side you can hear everything through the walls of the room. We would come again definitely but maybe bring some ear plugs! Food is great location is fab, room is small and quaint but with everything you need. Great value for money.

Pros - Good size B&B room with friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. The property was overall very clean. Nice quiet location.

Cons - Breakfast (including coffee) was below average and requires significant improvement towards taste. We had fish and chips the night before and they were also a letdown. Room was a bit warm as the table fan was not effective.

The place itself was okay, not what I expected at all. The pub is on a small quiet back road and the b&b bit is across the road from the actual pub itself. It felt as though we were going into someone’s house. The room was very cold and the pillows were horrendously uncomfortable they were rock solid.

We couldn’t get any WiFi the whole stay we were there it was on and off, we did have to call reception a few times as I had to take work emails/calls.
The food was quite bad if I’m honest, I ordered the chicken burger for dinner but had ran out of chicken. The waitress who served us for dinner didn’t really have much customer service, think she must of been new. She didn’t know the drinks menu and didn’t recommend anything else for me to have instead of the chicken due to having such a small menu.

In the morning they ran out of hash browns, when the breakfast came out, it was full of grease and the bacon wasn’t really cooked to how we like it.
The menu is quite small not a lot of options, which is a shame really. Even a local looked quite disappointed when he heard there was no chicken or white meats.

To top it all off the people above us were super noisy, kept us both awake till early hours of the morning stomping about and constantly running baths/showers. We didn’t complain as we were too tired from the long drive we had.

On a positive note I want to say a massive thank you to Jordan the front of house man, he was amazing so welcoming and friendly. He couldn’t do enough for us, we asked for some coffee at dinner as soon as we got back to our room it was there on our tray already. He also tried to sort the WiFi out bless him.

All in all I don’t think we will be staying again.

What a lovely pub and also bed and breakfast. The staff were so friendly, accommodation clean, spacious and very comfortable- bath tub especially excellent & lots of hot water.
We really enjoyed our meals in the pub, we had 2 breakfasts, dinner (steak) and a Sunday roast which was *VERY* good indeed . Delicious food all round.
We would recommend this as a lovely stay with a great atmosphere and staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and well looked after. Thank you so much.

Stayed over a couple of days using the Brit Stops in our motorhome for a works function (BBQ), great food, brilliant service and can't recommend it highly enough, not just for a works BBQ (75 people) but also as a place to stay.

Lovely little spot that's easy to walk or drive to, good priced drinks and a wide selection. Food menu looked gorgeous, and we will return to sample it!
