We had the sweetest Christmas family gathering @ Horse Shoe Cottage Farm which we will remember forever.||All I can say is that it was perfect in every conceivable way. As soon as we drove through the gates we all felt as if we had arrived on the set of a classic English Country Christmas Movie. ||A welcoming garland at the door, logs for the wood stove, a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree, & even a stags head on the dining room wall. ||There were heritage throws, gold candles & seasonal serviettes. ||Three double rooms each with their own bathrooms, gorgeous bedding, white towels & heavenly organic toiletries. ||The stylish Devol kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking & making drinks & there was even complimentary honey from Linda’s bees as well as homemade marmalade, dog treats, milk,fresh bread, croissants and a Christmas stollen. ||No wonder Linda, the owner and creator of this incredible space has won so many awards. ||We cannot speak too highly of it all & recommend it without reservation. ||Thank you ✨✨✨✨

I stayed at the cottage as a self-contained B&B and was delighted with it. The place is utterly charming, spotless and I felt very safe staying alone with the gated entrance. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable too. |The owner provided delicious home baked bread, scones and jam and even delivered stewed apples, blueberries and oat milk for porridge when I requested a vegan breakfast. It would be a great place to take friends for a weekend away and enjoy walks in the beautiful deer park opposite.

My daughter was getting married at the Pumping Station around the corner last month and to cut a long story short, this place wasn’t available when I pre booked a year in advance. A few weeks before the wedding I cancelled the alternative place as their rules were unbelievable regarding wedding attire. I called Linda and came off the phone in tears as after such an awful experience she was absolutely amazing, she jiggled things around a little with her bookings so that she could accommodate 5 of us the night before the wedding and was happy for the photographer, hairdresser, makeup artist to come the following day and accommodated the bride and groom the evening of the wedding. I cannot thank Linda and Tim enough, from the moment I booked she set my mind at ease. The place is stunningly beautiful, set in fantastic grounds. We had a lovely welcome and we had the three lovely bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen/diner with fridge to bring anything we wanted. Access to the lounge and garden. Linda and Tim helped for the whole of the day of the wedding from breakfast until we left at 1545. Breakfast was set up in their stunning garden and was delicious with freshly made bread, and a fantastic choice and local produce. |Our guests on the day were welcomed and looked after, nothing was too much trouble. Linda even offered to go the the local villages to pick us up lunch if we required anything. She organised us, gave us use of everything until we left and did so much above and beyond, down to taking photos for us too. Her and Tim made us and all our helpers on the day so welcome that it felt like we were family. |The rooms are beautiful and full of character with lovely countryside decor with beautiful toiletries. |We cannot recommended and thank you both enough. I can actually say you made the wedding complete, I am so glad we had such awful service from the other place and I called you, your hospitality was amazing. |The bride and groom also loved their overnight stay too and enjoyed their first breakfast as a married couple in your garden. |Thank you so, so much. |Tina, Paige and Kieran and all the bridal party

Beautiful, relaxing forest hideaway: warming log fires prepared for you, homemade bread, jams, honey from Tim & Linda's bees & their own hens eggs too in a very well equipped self contained luxury B&B.|The reason for our stay was that we wanted to return to the Charnwood forest area to not only celebrate a family birthday milestone, take flowers to the graves of our loved ones but also visit the areas where our family farm was. |One of my parents is disabled and along with cases & the disability walker, we had no room in the car for a wheelchair.|Linda Jee makes things happen - when I read on the website; 'nothing is too much trouble', it really isn't - Linda was able to source the loan of a wheelchair from a friend, for which we were so grateful, as it opened up so many more options to visit during our stay.| Equally, if we were out later than originally planned, Linda prepared & lit the huge log burning fire in the main room. There is a choice of whether to eat in the large, well equipped & spacious kitchen or the impressive dining table complete with candelabra. Many many little attentions to details really did make the stay feel very relaxing, as it was so well thought out: daffodils in all rooms, horseshoe cottage's own lavender wash products, fruit, yogurts ready for breakfast, delicious butchers bacon & sausages, freshly made elderflower cordial along with freshly made bread & cakes brought to the cottage kitchen daily. |All in all, we would highly recommend this well thought out & award winning self contained B&B for a restful getaway spot, right on the edge of the beautiful & relaxing parks & forests, already to investigate in this simply stunning area. |Thank you Tim & Linda - my parents will be talking about their stay for many months to come!||

My son and his partner were staying here, the hosts, Linda & Tim invited us in to have breakfast as a family at no extra charge. The venue is amazing, the hosts were fantastic, the breakfast was delicious and the position of the venue was incredible, very close to the Cropston entrance to Bradgate Park. If you need a place to stay in the area you could not do better than here.

This is hands down the best B&B I have ever stayed in, we had a very warm welcome upon arrival with tea and coffee and the offer of hot cross buns. The property is not only in beautiful surroundings, walking distance from Bradgate Park and Swithland Woods, it is exactly as you would expect from a country house with the decor.
Our hosts Linda and Tim were very attentive and have excellent knowledge of the surrounding area, giving recommendations for local pubs/restaurants for dinner. The room was amazing with a comfy bed and a lovely shower that was very much needed after a day travelling.
The Full English Breakfast had many locally sourced ingredients that all tasted great, coupled with the friendly, relaxed atmosphere made us feel like we had gone to visit rather than been paying customers.
Tim and Linda are brilliant hosts and we would definitely look to stay at Horseshoe Cottage Farm on our next visit to Leicester.

Hands down one of the most memorable stays for us - ever. The owners, Linda and Tim, were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. They made sure everyone was well taken care of. The BnB has a unique charm to it and the rooms were very very lovely. The cottage is located next to the Bradgate park, a wonderful place to take a stroll. The cottage also has a cute garden attached to it - amazing place to have a meal. If you’re looking for a city getaway or am visiting the area, I would highly, highly recommend staying here. Our only regret is only spending one night here!

Excellent hospitality and rooms. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to stretch out and play cards in the drawing room. Breakfast was delicious and really enjoyed our walk in the gardens. Appreciated how close it was to the park and certainly enjoyed the deer. Thanks again!
