To find a nice and cheap hotel in Newcastle is a bit tricky until you discover Balmoral Hotel, just half an hour walk to the town centre.
The car park is big and well distributed.
The receptionist is very welcome and you have a key to enter the hotel.
It is a very nice Turkish restaurant downstairs.
The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, all new and with beautiful colours.
The bathroom is big, clean, new and everything works perfectly.
I will be back to this hotel for my next visit to Newcastle.

The restaurant downstairs was a bonus on our stay we didnt have to go out for food. They do deserts, mocktails, restaurant staff were also very nice. Prices were good.

I recently stayed at Hotel Balmoral, and I was absolutely impressed. The hotel was incredibly clean, with spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. What truly sets this hotel apart is the value for money—it exceeded all my expectations for the price I paid. The location was great, and I felt like I was getting 5-star service without the hefty price tag. I highly recommend Hotel Balmoral for anyone looking for an exceptional stay without breaking the bank!

Can't complain about this place at all really, well not about anything they can control anyway, if you look at the place and it's surroundings you have to accept that things like Road Noise or even smells from the restaurant can't be avoided, so reading other people's reviews I'm not sure what they expected the Hotel to be able to do about that.
The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable, really happy with the standard especially for the price, fantastic value.
Location wise it's not the greatest area but it is within walking distance to the City Centre, St James Park & the Arena so again very positive. It has a car park too which most hotels this close to a city centre don't have.
Service was great although granted they didn't have to do much for me other than check me in and out but staff were friendly and informative. Topped everything off with returning my wallet to me in the post which I had left in the room.
Really pleased I found the place and would highly recommend it to anyone needing a short stay near the city centre.

Wow what an incredible find! Gorgeous boutique hotel just a mile away from the arena.
Room was really lovely. Spotlessly clean with lovely bed linen and soft fresh towels. We recieved a really warm welcome on arrival and the receptionist helped us with finding a taxi and local places we wanted to go to. Plenty of parking right outside too.

Stayed here whilst in town for a football match. Location is perfect for visiting the stadium, a 15 minute walk pretty much straight into town. Room was a good size, large bed, and spotlessly clean. No complaints at all. Staff were all friendly, and free car parking was a bonus. Would happily stay again.

The reception lady was very nice, polite and helpful. Check in was quick no issues. We had to stay somewhere during home renovations so we just wanted somewhere budget friendly and nearby, this was ideal. This is a basic hotel which for the price it is excellent, spotlessly clean and decorated/ maintained to a high standard. The room has everything you would want from a standard hotel room - hair dryer, kettle, tea and coffee, bath and shower gel, a safe, a dressing table, phone, alarm clock.
The bathroom has a nice powerful shower and is all in working order, towels are clean and in good condition and plenty of toilet rolls.

Although it is on a main road we had no complaints with noise from that or from other rooms and slept brilliantly. Wi-Fi is free and the TV has Netflix, YouTube. There is a large car park and there appears to be cctv, the staff take your vehicle registration. They give you a code for the front door on check in in case it is locked when you come and go.

We had a ‘standard’ king room however the bed is massive and very comfortable. The window is nice and big and opens which is fantastic to let some air circulation as it is quite warm in the room. One thing to note is that there are only two sockets for the room at the desk so I would bring an extension if you need it.

I didn’t get breakfast so can’t comment on it however I saw a review which said you can go for breakfast in the Indian restaurant Akbar’s next door but it smelled of Indian food which they don’t like, I mean come on how idiotic can you be to go into an Indian restaurant and complain of the smell of curry? It’s like diving into the sea and complaining it’s too wet. I can say there is no smell at all in the hotel and there are multiple cafes/shops/takeaways on the same street, and the location is minutes away from town so you have no shortage of places to get something to eat.

To summarise, I would definitely recommend this hotel, the location is ideal, you get a lot more than a premier inn or other similar priced no frills hotel, the rooms are lovely and it was actually cheaper for us to stay here!
