Absolutely gorgeous hotel situated in the heart of Birmingham.

The rooms are very spacious and clean.

If you have the option to upgrade while you are there I highly recommend it.

All the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, would especially like to thank Omar for his outstanding customer service and help over our stay.

Will be coming back very soon

Came for the 30 year anniversary menu with the family and it was great. Nice selection of meals and catered well for all our dietary needs. Bistro was busy but still had some great service. I recommend asking for the sommelier choice selection of wines (they have a separate menu) as there are some hidden gems there!

Had my "special" birthday party at The White Lion at the beginning of October. The venue was great, with room for seating, standing and a dance floor. The food was yummy, the range of drinks suited all types of connoisseur and all of the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. A special thanks to Sarah Smith who helped me organise everything. Would recommend!

The bistro was lovely. Wait staff were very attentive. Quiet atmosphere. Hotel du Vin is well situated in the city centre on Church St in Birmingham. Not very noticeable on first glance but quite a gem. Dishes are delicious! Such effort and attentiveness is appreciated. Always look forward to Hotel du Vin.

This hotel is fantastic and great for both business or leisure. The staff are second to none. I would like to mention Mary who runs the breakfast. She is so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and the service is amazing. The food is also excellent.

The room was very small, dominated by a big black wardrobe. The bathroom was cramped with paint peeling off around the window. However, the bed was comfortable

For breakfast I had boiled eggs and soldiers. The eggs were as I like them, but there was no butter on them. There was no butter available around the toaster area and none on the table. There was nobody around to ask.

I have to say that the coffee was probably the worst coffee I have ever tasted. One sip was enough, I couldn't drink any more.

The staff were all lovely. However, if you are going to charge a premium rate, the room needs to be premium and so does the breakfast

I came for lunch on a Tuesday in their dining room. The wines by the glass were lovely, the food was delish. They didn’t have a Sauternes on by the glass on the menu but when I told the waiter I fancied that (Mike I think he said his name was), he said he had that in the cellar and he duly opened a bottle so I could have one with my pud.
But anyway, a reliable place in a busy world, serving class wines in the proper glasses. Food faultless. Support it.

From the Hen Do Afternoon Tea event booking and pre-planning arrangements to the event itself, Ben could not have gone out of his way any more than he did to make it a truly special occasion. He was helpful and caring and undertook everything with a very kind and understanding approach. We could not have been happier. Giving us a private room to thoroughly enjoy ourselves, totally unencumbered by time, was the cherry on top. ||This was then topped off by the fantastic, personalised, caring and kind service given to us throughout the afternoon by Shantel. She helped us with smiles and laughter and could not have been more devoted to providing excellent customer service. ||Thankyou to both Ben and Shantel. You made our day even better, and the bride-to-be, and all of us, were so very very happy. THANKYOU
