A really nice hotel, very well designed and comfy. The room was great.

What let the hotel down is the quality of the cooked breakfast. For the money you pay you’d expect it to be good and it wasn’t. The ingredients had obviously been sitting under a light for the last couple hours and the quality of the ingredients were poor. I’d suggest popping out for breakfast as there are a few places in walking distance where it’s cooler fresh and you don’t feel ripped off.

Apart from the breakfast it’s a great hotel in a great location.

I highly recommend this place. The rooms are large, stylish and well appointed, with magnificent bathrooms. It's a great location, easy walking distance from the old centre. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast is cooked to order and usually very good. There are various DB&B offers if you choose to eat in. We've stayed many times now and expect to continue doing so.

We were incredibly impressed as soon as we entered our room... it was truly amazing! The space was generous, and it felt like we were celebrating a special occasion, perhaps even a wedding anniversary. The room is so unique, which is a lot better than our expectations. It was both spacious and spotlessly clean, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We particularly loved the large bath and the wonderful shower.

There’s really nothing major to complain about. However, it would be nice if the bathroom had a single mixer tap to adjust the water temperature more easily. Unfortunately, my husband accidentally burned his hand on the hot tap, while the cold tap on the other side was freezing. Personally, I find separate taps a bit impractical, and a modern mixer tap would be a welcome improvement.

Regarding the service, check-in was smooth and efficient. Since we arrived early, we appreciated that they accommodated us without any issue. Thank you very much! We didn’t require additional services, but our breakfast experience was generally good. It was a combination of self-service and made-to-order mains. Unfortunately, when I was looking for an orange juice, it had already run out, with no refills. Well, if I asked for it, I might get it. The bread was also a bit too crisp for me after my dentist but overall is good.

That said, the room was clean and comfortable, and I would rate it accordingly. One delightful surprise was the complimentary L’Occitane toiletries, a luxurious touch that I rarely come across, even in some four-star hotels in London. I truly hope they maintain this standard.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning. ❤️❤️❤️

This is a lovely hotel in an historic property which gives it character and ambience. I stayed for two nights in February and it was such a comfortable stay. Great room. I had a classic. It was spacious with a separate bath and shower. Great night’s sleep. Very comfortable bed. Professional and friendly staff who are genuinely interested in their guests particularly Danya, Jamie and Roberto during my stay. The wines in the bar are superb. Breakfast was good. I liked the location by the Christmas Steps in the artisan quarter where there are quirky shops.|I will definitely look out for other Hotel du Vins on my travels!

Lovely hotel in a good location tucked away from the main road. An interesting building too. Imagine it will be a good place during the summer as there is outdoor space to dine. Employees were pleasant and efficient and well trained. Room was very clean and nicely designed. The main issue I had was the quality of food which is less than average and not in line with standard of room we had. In my humble opinion you nee to look at the menu! Unfortunately it spoiled what would have otherwise been a good stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and our 10 month old and our 3 and a half year old. Jolanta was lovely when I spoke to her on the phone and she helped me with the online booking and then added the travel cot and extra pull out bed to the booking over phone and email. We were put in a junior suite which had so much space which was perfect for my two young children to have enough space for playing and sleeping. The bed was large and comfortable. We all enjoyed the big bath and the lovely shower. Breakfast was a treat which we all enjoyed. All of the staff were really sweet and helpful.

A great recent stay, staff were wonderful. The rooms are very nice with a very high level of detail and decoration in keeping with the theme. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Despite being in the city centre the room and hotel were very quiet with no outside noise at all.
Would definitely stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel du Vin Bristol, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. It’s a very atmospheric place with a unique charm that makes it stand out. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and style. The staff were absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The food was another highlight—delicious, high-quality dishes that made every meal a treat.

Located in the city center, it’s one of the best places to stay in Bristol. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a place with soul, where every detail adds to its character. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay in Bristol!
