We have just returned from an Afternoon Tea which was given to us by our son as a treat.....and what a treat it was.
The table (although a bit near a large crowd having lunch which isn’t a criticism but would have been nice in a slightly quieter spot, but as I said, not a criticism), was spotless with a lovely setting of pure white cloths and shiny cutlery.
When our tea treats arrived, a lovely young man went through what was on each of the three layers.
We didn’t think we would eat it all - but we did ........apart from two fruit scones which the young man kindly popped into a box for us to bring home.
Each sandwich/bridge roll was delicious as were the scones and the amazing top layer of various sweet treats.
Thank you for a lovely, pleasant couple of our at The Hotel du Vin Poole.

We stayed in one of the suites and it was divine! Beautiful roll top bath, a shower bigger than most spare rooms and best of all, a double tv centre console serving both the bedroom area and lounge area simultaneously. For dinner we opted for the 5 course taster menu paired with gorgeous wines. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable about each of the pairings. Located just by Poole quay, there was plenty of opportunity to walk this all off. Highly recommended.

We had a room upgrade (the room was clean, spacious and characterful) and experienced the tasting menu - the food was delicious and the wine was well paired. We were served by Anne, who explained the pairings in excellent detail, and was a credit to the hotel on a busy day (there was a wedding function downstairs).

stayed here for one night wished it was more, lovely welcoming friendly staff, we had a deluxe room in the main hotel, parking was limited but parked in a cat park couple of hundred metres away. ||The room was lovely with fabulous toiletries and a lovely bath and separate shower. Bar area really nice for an evening night cap.|the breakfast was made to order again really helpful and polite staff. excellent choice of breakfasts, only slight criticism was the food could|have been warmer.|we will definately stay here again.

Great hotel. Room was superb. Clean, roomy and comfy bed. The service in every area of the hotel was excellent at all times. Breakfast was very good.
My only issue was dinner. The food could be better in my opinion, but maybe it was my choices. Cheese board was excellent.
Overall v good stay. And would give the restaurant another go as everyone tries so hard

Shame they wouldn't spare us the drive in the floods by moving our booking forward, despite having the rooms free. Had to charge extra, natch. So we drove through rain and flood.

Car parking, which you might just be lucky to get, you also pay extra for. So keep your luggage pavement friendly.
We loved the idea of breakfast in bed. But not the soggy heavy pastries that arrived. And which were the same at the table the following day.
Great to have no room service for a small bar bonus. But ran out of coffee because of.
The lighting by the bed with usb didn't light or charge. Unless there was a system I failed to understand.
Bed lumpy.
But bathroom had shelving. Great to have somewhere to put stuff.

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Du Vin in Poole ( Tuesday Oct.1st 2024 ) and we had the most perfect time. The entire team at the Hotel Du Vin were brilliant. Excellent customer service skills from start to finish.
My partner and I got married the following day , the hotel kindly allowed all of my family to have a late check-out so we could go straight from the hotel to the registry office. This gesture was so greatly received from everyone. When my family arrived at the hotel, they were all surprised with an upgrade. All the rooms are superb and the entire group loved them.
We had a beautiful meal on the Tuesday night and the chef , kitchen team and the waiters/waitresses did a brilliant job. The food was yummy and again , everyone from the entire group agreed.
I would love to thank the entire Poole, Hotel Du Vin team for an outstanding experience and my new husband and I will definitely return at some point in the future. Best Regards, Rachel.
