This is a very nice and modern hotel, we had a great time here, the reception staff are fabulous and very helpful. The room was excellent extremely comfortable bed and quality bedding and towels. Coffee and crisps and a gingerbread man left for us with some water for us. The shower was very good. The charge you £20.00 per person for breakfast, this isn’t worth the money at all. For me I would go outside and find something else next time. Overall it was a very nice stay in York and a great place to stay.

Staying at the Hotel Indigo in York for a three week period to train locally with my employer was a really enjoyable experience. All staff were helpful and friendly, the two different rooms I used had plenty of character and great facilities. The breakfast menu is varied and the quality is good. A pizza in the evening is also recommended too! I used the gym plenty as well, was quiet and had all you need. I really can’t find fault at all with this hotel and will hope to stay again in the future. Best wishes to all the staff I met, thank you, Phil.

The hotel is lovely with a charm of its own. The staff is very friendly. Our room was located far from the elevator which causes difficulties to carry everything. The bathroom is quite old. The bed is very comfortable but there's no enough space in the room. We stayed at the hotel in mid March and the weather was very cold including in the room. There was no heating system. They had a great vegan breakfast which is a big upgrade for our stay. Great location for travelling in York.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the girl on the reception desk. Spotlessly clean rooms, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was super, a lovely variety of food. Would definitely stay here again if we are visiting York.

I had a rather pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were quite snazzy, elegantly outfitted, and the staff were exceptionally courteous—except for one peculiar bar gentleman who seemed to carry an air of awkwardness for no discernible reason. His strange behavior was, frankly, a bit off-putting, but it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. Now, the real conundrum was the oppressive heat that enveloped the entire hotel. It felt as though the building was heated to an unbearable temperature, like the 9th ring of hell had mistakenly been set as the default setting. It was utterly inexplicable and rather uncomfortable. One could hardly understand why it was so sweltering, but fortunately, the climate control in the room worked quite well, otherwise, I suspect I would have ended up resembling a rotisserie chicken. Despite this minor setback, the quality of the food in the restaurant was an absolute highlight. Each dish was crafted with care, offering a fine selection of flavours that were both rich and satisfying. The attention to detail was truly commendable, and the dining experience was an elegant addition to our stay. While the heat did present a bit of a challenge, the excellent culinary offerings certainly made up for it.

Great find in York! Friendly welcome as soon as we checked in. Parking area a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, small charge to stay overnight. Loved the decor in our room, had every amenity you would need for a short stay. Shower was amazing, including the complementary toiletries. Nice touch with locally produced crisps and shortcakes as a gift in the room.
Hotel is well located, 10min walk to the centre of York. We didn't try the breakfasts but the bar and restaurant looked well stocked. Want to come back to York as there is so much more to see. Will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel, wonderful friendly staff. Loved the decor. Bed was extremely comfortable. Had a lovely comfortable wingback chair in the room as well as a wooden chair that was tastefully painted and also comfortable. Great choices for breakfast, both continental and cooked. Bang in centre of town so everything was in walking distance.

Lovely, welcoming hotel in an excellent location. The room was clean and quiet (despite being at the front of the hotel) with an enormous, comfortable bed. We can't fault our stay and will definitely be booking to stay here again on our next trip to York.
