The room was dirty and did not even bother putting a hoover round. The water was so hot you could not even put your hand in it let alone anything else. Great location but I would never go back even if you paid me.

Probably...no definitely the worse hotel I have ever stayed in....These were the words of my husband when he returned after a night there on Saturday 17th August.|He said this hotel would struggle to be called 1 Star, it was filthy and really hot worthy of being called a Hotel @ best it was a run down hostel! Too many things to moan about...Book here at your peril and don't be fooled by the fact it has a pool, as you can't sleep and shower in that! - How they charge £70 if a disgrace....£30 would be the maximum this should charge.

Very basic and dated hotel. Mismatched old furniture make it look scruffy. Tiny shower with no temp control so either scolding or freezing. Towels are more like flannels. Bed not very comfy. No staff to speak of. Only plus is the pool which is very deep so be careful.

Stayed for 1 night, glad it was only a night. Man at reception not very friendly or helpful. Hotel looked run down and tired on the outside, not much better on the inside. Carpet through out was looked like it came from a care home. Hotel in need of total renovation to bring up to date. Room was fairly clean but in need of modernisation. Furniture looked like was twenty years old, with miss matched carpet, curtains and furniture, dirty bathroom floor plug broken bad grouting, rust on mirror, paint on tiles old sliding wooden door to bathroom ect ect

Please avoid like the plague. I am a seasoned traveller and been in some places but this took the award for the worst hotel I have ever been in. The receptionist was sullen and disinterested I walk with a stick and was on the top floor but no offer of help. The carpets on the way up looked like they had never seen a hoover since they were laid. Things got worse..opening the door the smell was foul. Tiny room but was budget ..was like a sauna..was a hot day so accepted that. The toilet was brown doubt it had ever been cleaned ...pulled back the sheets to reveal blood on the matress protector..the matress was no better. I immediately walked out saying I couldn't stay. Disgusting please don't stay here

My single room was small, dated and smelt of dog. The TV didn’t work properly, I think it needed an Ariel. The curtains were stained. The bed was clean and comfortable however. But what I found most abhorrent was the guy on reception. He was SO unfriendly, moody and unhelpful. I asked him where Southgate Road was (my final destination) as Google maps had said it was a 9 minute walk. He said “oh that’s the other side of town, it’s about 15 minutes away” I got a cab but infact it was about a 5 minute walk…

Just booked for one night as we were visiting family, wish it could have been a longer stay
Staff were great, food was good and plenty of it
Our rooms were a good size, very comfy the bathroom was huge not like the cupboard toilet you get in some hotels
Thums up to the bar staff for excellent service,

Everything was perfect except the rooms bathroom had a horrendous smell. The door had to be kept shut which meant when you used the bathroom the smell was even stronger, also the TV in the room had 2 channels neither of which worked. Other then that more then friendly and accommodating staff and a heated pool which the kids loved
