We have just returned from a three night stay at Trigony House, and hope to be able to return soon. Wendy, Peter and their team work really hard to ensure their guests stay is as relaxing as it can be. The food is delicious, the rooms are spotless and the house is amazing. The bed in room 1 was so comfortable, and, even though it overlooks the car parking & front entrance area, the room was so quiet we slept very soundly. We will definitely stay again if we return to the area.

My partner and I stayed here overnight, making use of the outdoor hot tub and sauna (such a great view over the fields and hills), followed by dinner (with wine pairings).
We were looked after by Richard, who was absolutely brilliant and had a keen sense of humour.
The food was exquisite, and the wine pairings were perfectly matched to each dish.
Overall a relaxing stay, really glad I booked, very much looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

The all round experience of staying three nights at the Trigony House Hotel, Closeburn, Scotland was absolutely excellent. The hotel, the location, the dining experience (the food absolutely spot on [dined the three nights]); the entire team being so warm, welcoming, sociable so enthusiastic to ensure your stay is perfect. Such a peaceful, relaxing environment; can recommend the Garden Suite - what a space, with your own totally private garden! As for value for money - again - absolutely excellent. My Lady and I spent a good chunk of a rainy afternoon indulging in some spa treatments. From our experience - cannot rate or recommend the Trigony House Hotel and the team of people there highly enough.

Very honest services of waiters and also very testy dishes are served. Also prepared dishes on customers required taste. Beautiful location. Respectful staff with each customer. Whenever you want to come in Scotland then choose this hotel because as you are forever remembering and also will be convey to all.

Came here for an evening meal. Greeted by a friendly, chatty waiter who offered us the choice of the bar or going to our table. The bar is small but very relaxed area.
Produced gluten-free bread, which was lovely, don't know if homemade or not.
The salmon starter was great. The roast chicken could have do e with crispier skin and more veg for 2 was needed, 1 piece of tenderstem broccolieach and a small spoonful of carrots.Overall, the chicken tasted beautiful, very flavoursome, and the Vension pie was said to be tasty.
The cheese was a little disappointing and looked like it had been hacked. The chocolate mousse was said to be morish but filling.

The Trigony is dog friendly, actually very dog friendly, and you have your own dining room, which is also fab.

Living just down the road we will definitely visit again.

What a lovely find! My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay to celebrate our anniversary . We chose here because I’d read how dog friendly it was and our dog Otis had never stayed at a hotel. Wendy, the owner made us all feel so welcome and put our fears of having our dog with us to rest. We were shown to our room, which was beautifully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean. We ate our dinner in the dog friendly dining room (there is another dining room for guests without dogs). The food was fabulous - we both agreed it was nicest we’ve ever had! And served by a lovely, friendly waitress. We then had a couple of drinks in the comfortable lounge area. We both slept extremely well. In the morning, Wendy served us breakfast which again, was delicious and cannot fault. There was also a breakfast menu for dogs! Despite being winter, the grounds are lovely and well maintained. The area is rural, with nice country walks. Thank you for an excellent stay - we will definitely be back!

Oh my word where do I start. |Fantastic Art Deco house not spoiled|Dinner breakfast outstanding every mouthful. Hats off to Chef. Thank you |Highly recommended for bird lovers. Didn’t need a television. Just watch birds collecting for nests |We thoroughly enjoyed hot tub and watching sun over the hills. Sauna did my health world of good |Staff absolutely PERFECT had some lovely chats with several of them. |Do take wellies or walking boots as a lovely walk to the Kirk. |One part of garden is being landscaped so love to see finished picture |Also have a dog wash area outside for the furry four legs. Great idea

Warm welcome, lovely woodland setting, room and bathroom very clean, traditional decor,dinner well cooked and tasty, especially the roast pheasant, service good. An old building so some aspects eg window frames , showing wear. Nearbye small town of Thornhill attractive. Handy for visiting Drumlanrig castle.
