EDIT - Updated my review as the response was fair & kind. Your offer is very kind, however we will return but we will pay. Thank you.

Visited for the first time today, very busy place, with people waiting for tables.

We got seated straight away, which was great, brunch menu had a great variety.

I got bacon bennie, with the bacon cooked as I asked, however my poached eggs were odd, white was all runny & snotty ( left half of them on the plate) but the yolks were hard, not sure how that happened! My hash browns were lovely though.
My latte was warm & I didn't like the weird aftertaste of the milk. I couldn't advise anyone, as no one asked how our food was. Perhaps this isn't normal standard?

My partner got the Potato hash, with Halloumi and lamb sausage and said it was stunning! He got a flat white & said it was ok.

We also got cakes to take away, they were beautiful.

Shame about my eggs really, we paid £42 excluding the cakes.

Chose to come here for a quick bite and a coffee before heading into town. Had a great time - amazing food, great service (Lucy served us and she was lovely - she recommended one of the Bennies (salmon) which was absolutely delicious) and the vibes were exactly what I needed to start the day. Wholly recommend.

We came here for breakfast to celebrate our anniversary. Great atmosphere, helpful staff and brilliant coffee. I really enjoyed decaf flat white and special juice including ginger, mint, apple etc❤️‍🔥 Highly recommended.

When the meal arrived I thought, “I’ll be surprised if the taste lives up to the presentation”… it wasn’t an issue. The pictures are from two different times and the food has been consistently excellent. Also, the coffee is first class. House of Koko are really taking “cafe” food to a whole new level. Price is a fair reflection of the excellent standard. My single, minor criticism is that I’d have loved a tiny bit more sourdough to help soak up the flavoursome oils and sauces of the dish. The baked goods are also as instagram-worthy as their flavour. The service is great. Thankfully, kids and dogs are welcome. Yet another gem of Chapel Allerton. Don’t miss it.

A meet up for coffee.
They do 2 shot coffees normally but I asked for just one shot. I enjoyed it.
They do soya milk but charge extra.
I usually ask for extra hot when I have a latte but forgot, so found it a little cool for me.
Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff.

Me and my daughter always go to house of koko in Oakwood which we love, we thought we would try out this one and was incredibly disappointed. The food was good as always but I found the cafe itself so unpleasant to be in. It almost felt like the staff were pissed off customers were even there. One woman stormed out as a staff member barged into her and didn’t even look round to check she was ok. As the waitress was taking my order she took the menu and walked away before I’d even finished ordering. The vibe was so off. Not a nice environment at all and ruined a nice breakfast out for me and my daughter.

Popped in for coffee, while I waited for my wife to have her eye operation, but ended up having a very nice breakfast indeed - it's not very often I'm in this neck of the woods living out York way, but with the wife going in for eye surgery at a local hospital and a wait of a couple of hours, no point in travel back home to turn round an come straight back. Thats why the coffee hunt, so glad I did - good strong coffee with a very nice eggs royale, on an english muffin. Spot on and service was excellent
