I wasn't going to leave a bad review as it's not in my nature. However, after being ignored on more than 3 occassions by a member of staff I feel I have know choice now. |Not a very clean hotel at all, standards need to be upped big time|Decor is very dated and where we were at the lower part of the hotel. It was extremely unclean and in poor repair. Holes in the ceiling, brackets broken off the wall, stains on the carpet, mould on the shower curtain dirty window frames, Poor ventilation, no cleaners came near our room and we stayed for 3 days. Outside furniture unkempt and needing some tlc as the weather was lovely and it would've been nice to sit outside.|Waited at the bar for 20 mins to order food and then another couple came up and they were approached first by the barman. I asked previously is there food still being served to be told definitely. When I finally did get approached I was told " youve got no chance, the wait is well over an hour and a half" other guests were complaining in the background that they had also been waiting over an hour for their food ! Rude staff on the bar disregarding you standing there. Charged 3 separate prices for the same drinks order on 3 separate occasions. Not enough staff in my opinion. The other staff I spoken to on reception were pleasant and helpful, restaurant staff also, so well done to them. Management need to up their game and sort this hotel out as very good potential to be a Great Hotel!

The reception area and restaurant are lovely although given it's dog friendly it's a shame there are no suitable tables to eat at, either really high or really low as one has to eat in the bar area. Teh restaurant food was really good. An excellent carbonara. Drinks a bit pricey but acceptable for a hotel. |The rooms though are in an annex and it's a lot warmer. No air con in there and the provided fan and small window isn't much use when it's 25 outside and still nearly 20 at night. To be a signature hotel really should have air conditioning I feel.|Rooms are less plush than the main areas but are still pretty decent if a little tired in places. |That said it's very good value but if the heat stops you getting a great night's sleep then it loses a star. I'd go again but not in August. Maybe October or spring.

My wife and myself stayed for 2 nights while visiting family in the area. Check in on the Friday evening was swift and with a cheery lady who was very helpful and directed us to our room, which was clean and tidy with everything we needed.||Only ate on one of the nights but the food and drink in the restaurant area was great and the gentleman behind the bar was fantastic. ||Breakfast both mornings looked great and was hot and tasty. ||All of the staff we met were incredibly friendly and polite and a real credit to the hotel. ||We will definitely look to stay again when in the area.

Stayed the night at the Hull BW hotel and we were very happy with our experience. Free parking was a bonus. Check in was swift and the male receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. Our room was clean and well equipped. It was very hot the night we stayed and although the room had no air con they did provide a fan which did the trick. There were a good selection of hot drinks in the room and complimentary KitKats, nice touch. A small suggestion...a mini bar/fridge would be a welcome addition. As it was a hot day we spent the afternoon sat on the patio for drinks, which is set out with comfortable chairs and tables with a nice view over the river and gardens. The bar staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The evening meal which was included in our booking was very good quality, 2 courses so you could either have a starter or dessert, and a main. We opted for desserts which were of a generous portion size and delicious. The female staff member ( blonde hair) was so professional and worked so hard, serving behind the bar, taking meal orders, cleaning and setting the tables and any other job that needed doing, all with a smile on her face. Sadly we didn't get her name but she deserves a special mention. The hotel did seem to be a little short staffed, however it wasn't very busy and it did not effect our stay. |Breakfast was on a self service buffet with a good selection on offer, from cereal to cooked food. Plenty to satisfy any appetite. Once again the staff on duty were very friendly and efficient. |All in all a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend the hotel and we plan to stay again later in the year.

Hotel was ok. Room a little dated and worn and could do with a refurbishment, however the facilities and quality of food was better than expected. Will definitely be returning if working in this area again. The only thing missing was a charging point for electric vehicles. ||

Stayed at the hotel whilst working in the area. Hotel is in a great location, was really clean, staff were friendly & breakfast was great. Managed to get a room which had a big comfy bed with a view of the Humber which was lovely. Would definitely return.

Stayed 2 nights in Aug 24 while visiting the area. Had a double room on the ground floor which was fine, except for the soundproofing. We were disturbed both nights by repetative slamming doors and banging in general, we were actually woken up because of it, whether we were just unlucky due to other inconsiderate guests or the hotel has poorly constructed walls, it put us off returning as we've had lovely quiet nights at a well known travel hotel. The gym was untidy and had no power for which I had to go to reception to report and they didn't even apologise. Despite the negatives the breakfast was good, coffee excellent, only suggestion is to put smaller plates at the hot buffet as parents were giving young children under 5, adult portions of breakfast which was just getting wasted not eaten down to poor parenting but this could be improved and less food waste if smaller plates were made available. We did not eat in at night as we felt £22 for 2 courses and no drink a bit steep so we went to a nearby family eatery for less cost. The water stations in the corridors are a great idea however the one near us didn't work for the whole time we were there.
