Such a hidden gem! Your completley surrounded by nature, baby ducks, swans the lot, can be a little noisey but they are super fun to watch. Such a relaxing place to connect with nature. In a great location for walks and close to Longleat safari park and other attractions. The pod we had was fantastic, cozy and welcoming. We felt out of the way even with other lodges near you have your own space and privacey. Comfy bed and everything you need, fridge freezer and a micorwave oven, loveley and clean. Great please to relax and unwind and with a private hot tup too, that was lovley and warm. Everything cozy and ready for us as soon as we arrived. Really enjoyed our stay thank you so much. We will be back.

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Hunters Moon, so much so, we genuinely didn’t want to leave! The accommodation was fantastic: spacious, comfortable, and beautifully clean. The bed was huge and incredibly cosy, and the lodge stayed warm and inviting throughout our stay.||The location was perfect, peaceful and tucked just far enough away to feel like a proper escape, yet still easy to reach without navigating endless single-track roads.||One of our favourite parts was the outdoor seating area. Each lodge had its own bench, allowing you to sit back, relax, and soak in the stunning view of the lake. We spent hours just watching the wildlife, we spotted geese (and their adorable goslings!), ducks, swans, herons, and even a baby deer. It was magical.||We only saw staff briefly, but they were all friendly and welcoming. In a place like this, where peace and privacy are key, that’s a big plus.||The only reason I’m not giving five stars is due to a small issue with the cooking facilities. Our lodge only had one oven tray (with holes), which made it tricky to cook anything greasy, and the oven seemed a bit temperamental — it took much longer than expected to cook a pie. That said, it didn’t spoil our experience at all, and we’re already planning to return next year!

Lovely little place, very good for a quiet getaway. Nice hot tub and lodge was clean and tidy. Only 20 minute walk to town where there are shops, pubs and restaurants. Recommend Italian called Gusto Divino. Shame the onsite pub/restaurant isn't open anymore. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Pros|- Easy check-in, keys left in door, found lodge easily, booklet of information left inside lodge with Wifi password and rules etc.|- Hot tub was hot upon arrival, clean and well sheltered from the view of others|- All equipment provided worked fine.|- Nice grounds with lovely animals to watch.|- Mirrors, windows and floors were well cleaned.|- Two towels provided per guest, all nice and clean.|- Complimentary tea and biscuits supplied, nice touch!||Cons:|- Can hear EVERYTHING from outside, couldn’t sleep due to geese honking all night, lovely animals but beware if you’re a light sleeper! Can also hear neighbouring lodges so experience depends a lot on who you’re next to.|- Curtains were mouldy, probably due to humidity by the windows but they need changing.|- Mattresses and bedding are clearly very old and worn, could do with upgrading, could see brown areas on bedding through the sheets. |- Shower door doesn’t close properly so bathroom floor can get slippery, bathroom door itself also doesn’t close properly, all doors seemed to be a bit warped but weren’t awful, just difficult to close.|- Obviously due to the location spiderwebs are guaranteed but there were large uninhabited cobwebs in the main bedroom & bathroom, could do with sweeping.|- Few bits missed when cleaning e,g. crumbs on sofa, marks on tables, just needs extra attention.|- Only one (partially used) toilet roll provided, ran out, we only stayed two nights so just went elsewhere when we left but had we stayed any longer this would have been an issue!|- A (very) small tube of body wash and shampoo is provided however no hand soaps at either sink.|- Plenty of plates however only two bowls provided (one of which is a mixing bowl).||Suggestions to owners:|- Change the curtains & bedding & possibly mattresses, it would make the place so much nicer and do it justice.|- Plump up the sofa a bit to stop it from looking as old.|- Provide spare toilet rolls!|- Maybe provide hand soap & washing up liquid so hands and crockery can be cleaned properly.

Third time to hunters moon stayed in otter 4 this trip fantastic. Sitting in hot tub in evening under stars on large balcony type area😁 very spacious, and great if you want to go into bath or Glastonbury for the day and 10 minute drive to longleat. Fantastic place to stay

Lovely weekend. Super accommodation, beautiful setting, lovely walks. Very handy to train station for trip to Bath for shopping trip for granddaughter. Good facilities in well equipped kitchen. All in all a good weekend for all including the dog

What an amazing stay. I stayed in hunters hideaway with my husband and 2 children. Was spotlessly clean, hot tub was perfect. Close to longleat for the kids. Can’t wait to stay again. Recommended to friends and family. Thanks to all for a lovely stay.

Had the best time away in magpie 5. Absolutely loved it!! Very clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied. The hot tub was amazing! Quiet and peaceful setting. We will be back in November for another well needed break. Thank you very much. Harriet and Marcus.
