A friend and I had a weekend break and stayed in the twin room in the house itself which was cosy and lovely, with super comfortable beds. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and Emma and Richard were the perfect hosts. The house is set in beautiful grounds, and is within easy driving distance of lots of sights. We felt very welcome and Emma and Richard gave us great advice on what to see and do. Would recommend staying here wholeheartedly 🙂

Would wholeheartedly agree with all the positive reviews. We booked in for a last minute birthday treat and were not disappointed. We stayed in the cottage at the side, nice and private, lovely log fire and comfortable bed. Emma and Richard were fabulous hosts and we would highly recommend Huntingfield House. Thank you for a lovely stay 😀

Took my friend Fran as a retirement/birthday treat - absolutely perfect! Emma and Richard are perfect hosts - the house and grounds are stunning - our twin room was quaint especially the squeaky floorboards!! Breakfast ingredients all locally sourced - eggs from the chickens that wander by the front door and home made honey from their hives!! Absolutely beautiful but word of warning make sure your sat nav works! Thank you for a lovely stay xx

Truly top notch! Emma and Richard make Huntingfield House so much more than a bed and breakfast with their personal touches and genuine approach. Our family booked both bedrooms and we enjoyed a cozy welcoming respite at the end of every day, with a wonderful breakfast to kick start our adventures. The location is perfectly situated to allow convenient day trips across southeast England from Chartwell to Dover, but do make time to relax on the grounds with a good book or go for a walk. Emma's suggestions for local dining are also spot on.

Huntingfield house B & B is by far THE PLACE TO STAY in the English countryside. Emma's hospitality is unlike any we have ever seen. She is warm, welcoming, helpful, and great fun! Once you have arrived to the house, you are surrounded by true serenity. A beautiful place for a break from the hustle and bustle. We were there with our 6 year old and 13 month old girls who were so happy to see horses and chicken. Quite a change from the city in Montreal where we came from. By the time we were leaving after a week stay, each of us wanted to find an excuse to extend it as opposed to continue on to London. ||||Emma started us with great English breakfasts every morning. We looked forward to waking up to start our days with those. Absolutely succulent!!! Emma and her family were great as they kept us entertained with plenty of games and toys to play with. It kept our 13 month old busy as well as helped us wind down at the end of the day. The trampoline was also a blast! For my 6 year old, 13 month old as well as myself! There love of horses was contagious and so my 6 year old and I decided to ride. Emma spoiled me when she took me on a private hack that was a dream!!! The house itself is just out of a magazine like the 'English House' magazines found on their coffee tables. My husband wants to stay there for a month next time so he can sit and write his book!!!||||Plenty to do just a short drive away. We did Canterbury which was just lovely. Plenty of shopping and great spots to eat at. Leeds castle which was great fun with plenty to do for adults and kids. We did the maze and grotto, playground, castle tour (with ispy game for our 6 year old), enjoyed a peacock who kept trying to impress some females who didn't give him any attention. We went to Sissinghurst and enjoyed lovely gardens and then stopped at The Milk House for fancy pizzas and salads. Great coffee as well! Whistable was a great little seaside escape for a day and delicious oysters were a must!||||Loved every moment at huntingfield b&b!!!! Hands down wouldn't go anywhere else. ||Thank you Emma and Richard!!!

My wife and I made the relatively short trip from Hertfordshire to Huntingfield House’s custom built hut, after we found the place on Canopy and Stars website. I would recommend this site as the booking process was easy and effective. ||||I’m going to be honest, compared to most independent places we have visited, the welcome left a lot to be desired. It may have been we arrived at a bad time but it was pretty much just ‘keys are in the door, get on with it’. I’ve no problem with that hands off style but with no information document either we had to do some derivative work online and using the guestbook to find out some basics. That said I’m sure the hosts Emma and Richard would have helped in any way if we had asked at the main house. ||||The location of Huntingfield House was amazing, out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature. The hut was set back from the main house to give an air of privacy. If you visit look out for the super sassy resident chickens, horses and the owners Bassett Hound and cat. In the night make sure you listen out for the owls.||||The accommodation was lovely and everything the pictures had promised. Very clean and thankfully the compost style toilet wasn’t too smelly on two of the hottest days of the year. My wife was very grateful to actually have the small bathroom incorporated into the hut. The bed was super comfy and sectioned off from the rest of the hut. There was also a desk useful for storing your bits and pieces and more spaces to relax outside, including a hammock. The little kitchen was well stocked with next mornings breakfast provided. The freshly baked homemade bread arriving in the morning was a nice touch. There is also the option of cooking outside on the BBQ or fire pit.||||During our short stay we spent time relaxing on site, visited a couple of the locals villages, pubs and also made trips to nearby Canterbury and the charming Whitstable. In the more temperate evening temperature I even managed a spot of Blackberry picking in the fields surrounding the property.||||Overall a lovely few days relaxing away from the craziness of modern life and technology.

We stayed in the shepherd's hut. It was beautifully placed and the perfect getaway. Stunning views out of the windows and nature on your doorstep. The cabin was lovely and warm and Emma provided first morning breakfast materials and lovely fresh cooked bread.

Arrived with my daughter to a very warm welcome into their beautiful Edwardian home in large grounds. There was a deluxe double with ensuite and a twin ensuite. Both beautifully appointed and lovely views. The selection at breakfast was amazing and beautifully cooked. If you're looking for a little luxury and total peace and quiet, this is the place. We will be back.
