It's very rare we get chance to get away without the kids, but we always make sure we have a special night away for our Wedding Anniversary each year. This year we chose the Hurley House Hotel for this occasion. We increased our normal budget this year and chose their best room (room 1), as it was a special occasion. I asked when I booked, if they would kindly be able to add a small touch to the room as it was our Wedding Anniversary, just expecting something little like a small cake / some chocolates / card, but when we arrived, they had exceeded my expectations. ||They had left us some amazing chocolates with Happy Anniversary written on the plate, two towels folded into kissing swans and rose petals spread all over the bed. My wife was in owe 😉 ||Even taking all this away, the room itself was amazing. The first hotel room I can say I have been to that honestly looked better in real life than in the pictures (and it looked stunning in the pictures!) Decor was stunning, extremely comfy bed, beautiful roll top bath, lovely powerful shower and a private secluded patio. The staff were all lovely and extremely welcoming. We enjoyed some lovely wine in the bar and had a spectacular meal in their restaurant. Cannot rate this place highly enough. ||Will definitely be back next year if not before ;-). Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay and Wedding Anniversary so special... Much appreciated !

We stayed at Hurley House to attend a wedding locally, and our experience at the hotel topped our night at the wedding venue! Everyone was brilliantly welcoming and ensured our experience was seamless, and felt like home. The attention to detail meant that we were comfortable and at ease. Special commendation goes to Melissa, who was just wonderful with our 3 month old baby, and supported me every time she could see me juggling luggage, the baby and the pram! The staff are Hurley House's ultimate asset - they were also so warm and generous, and couldn't do more for us if they tried (including posting the little one's lost comforter back home to us). The bar was ambient and elegant, and the cocktail menu was surprising and delightful. We'd be back in a blink if it wasn't over a 3 hour drive from our home in Cheshire.

What a beautiful experience, we couldn't fault anything about our stay. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so kind and welcoming. The hotel is stunning and the food delicious. We chatted to 3 of the team and felt that they were all genuinely interested. We will be back ?

Did not actually stay in the hotel, but went there for an evening at the sushi bar. Had the 12 course Dragon meal. It was fantastic. A range of flavors that were a joy to try. Carefully selected imported ingredients that were wonderfully prepared. All of this from a smiling and friendly chef who knew his stuff. Was not cheap but also not crazy priced, given the quality you get. Fantastic evening along with some nice drink pairing and cocktails from the bar that were also very nice indeed.

So I can only say thank you for an amazing lunch outside on the terrace/garden. Impeccably polite and efficient service, incredible menu covering Japanese, Sunday roast, Pizza, Pasta and standard fare. The pictures say it all with a perfect medium rare T bone. We stayed 1.30 to 5.15 pm and never felt rushed. Just the most delightful afternoon which I cant wait to repeat, Thank you. Should also mention the hotel and facilities are immaculate.

We visited HHH last weekend, as a family of 15, after an emotional, final goodbye to the matriarch of our family. We started with drinks outside in the sun; the outside space is utterly glorious. We then came inside for a long and I admit, rather loud lunch. We were a bit giddy with relief and boy did we eat & drink. The wonderful staff (as always) looked after us with 24/7 attention and always with enthusiasm and a smile. The food was outstanding (we had 2 chefs and 1 could-be chef - all impressed). This day will go down as one of our core memories. Thank you HHH for making so special. PS returned for Sunday lunch 2 days later and another great meal. Book it gets busy.

Another lovely stay at Hurley, from the minute we arrived it was great. The weather was good when we stayed so we were able to sit outside which was lovely. Really nice little touches, so many familiar faces, it is such a fantastic place to relax. Forget the overpriced hotels in nearby, this little hotel really is exceptional. Every aspect of this hotel stay was spectacular from the pristine rooms — gorgeous bathrooms, lovely comfortable bedding, quality functional furniture, and high-end decor — to the delicious breakfast and wonderful staff, WOW! Great location to visit Highclere Castle. **Hurley House was not open for dinner one evening so we enjoyed The Crown Burchetts Green (located nearby) -- highly recommend
