Highly recommend this hotel. Claire and her staff were excellent. Very friendly, professional , nothing was too much trouble. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel. Rooms are clean, comfy beds . Tea, biscuits etc very well stocked. Fresh milk always available in the fridge, no little pots. An excellent stay.

We had a lovely time staying here. Felt genuinely welcome unlike the transactional nature of larger hotels.

Room was spacious, large TV, window that opened and strong WiFi. Bed was slightly softer than I like, but that's a personal preference.

Breakfast great, cooked options and cereals etc.

Stayed one night whilst catching up with friends. Room 2 designed as mini suite with sitting area as well as bedroom. Very comfortable large bed and pillows. Only niggle was noisy extractor fan in bathroom. Food quality and preparation was excellent and my special thanks to Sophie and Joe for looking after us. Reasonable prices. Would stay again without hesitation 9/10.

We stayed for a weekend - a really great find. Our bedroom was quirky with a four poster bed. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was great. Bonus private car park in the back as parking around the inn was busy. We would definitely come back.

The Hurtwood Hotel B&B hosted a brilliant midweek trip for us. Very friendly welcome, lovely cosy room and a-joined to an excellent watering hole where we had a delicious meal and several local pints. The breakfast was superb too. The perfect base for a mountain biking trip. Will certainly be back soon, thanks again! Fiona and Jake

Wonderful stay, What a lovely hotel, from a friendly welcome to a beautiful room with lovely spa bath. Great fresh breakfast with lots of choice.|Dog friendly and a really nice pub attached serving great food lovely ambience friendly staff. Beautiful woodland walks in surrounding area.|A big thankyou to hotel staff for making us feel so welcome.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights for New Year. It was described as a newly refurbished boutique hotel with a deluxe room. The bathroom window was covered in black mould as was the tile grouting and the spa bath jets were so disgusting we didn't use it.|The carpets throughout the hotel were grubby to say the least. The customer service has been non existent and we left after 2 nights.|Would NOT recommend.

I had booked rooms 15 and 4 last week and they both have serious drainage and plumbing problems.||In room 15, the shower water took hours to drain away and ended up a strange yellowy colour. The toilet periodically flushed and by the time we decided to vacate a day early, had completely stopped flushing. The room also stank of drains.||My daughter stayed in room 4 and in the early hours of 13 September a leak through the beam in the ceiling started and was still going strong the following morning.. |After wandering around the hotel in the dark in our PJs, w eventually discovered that there was an emergency button on the consul on reception. ||The Deputy Manager and her husband both came to the room. We then learned that this is an ongoing problem connected to the plumbing in room 15, where we were staying. They put out a pile of towels to soak up the ongoing leak. This was not clear, fresh water - it was a dark orangy looking colour, possibly from the toilet outflow. As this is an ongoing problem between these two rooms, is the carpet harbouring dangerous germs?||We obviously did not wish to remain there and cancelled our stay. We were refunded at the time but there was no offer of compensation for the miserable night we had had. We were simply reminded that we needed to vacate our rooms by 11 am!! I contacted the Manager yesterday - no response at all so far.
